Meet Mitchell – the boy with a heart of gold, ears that live their own life, and a weirdness you can only fully appreciate when you meet him! Mitchell has been in his foster home since the day he was born. He has always been a little different, and a very vocal boy – like all shepherds strive to be. Mitchell is 3 years old and 70 lbs of mostly German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. He loves other dogs and his personality has really taken off with strangers too. He has a couple of best friend foster siblings that he enjoys playing with. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He will need a home with a routine and patience as he works on leash training and that can help him keep learning. Mitchell has a pretty standard shepherd personality. If you have experience with shepherds, you fully understand. He wants to be worried about the world, while also being a social butterfly – an interesting combination for sure! Mitchell does get nervous with new things, but as his confidence continues to grow, we know that nervousness will get less and less. He hasn't been around kids but with his easy going demeanor we don't think he would have any issues in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He was born with bad hips and had surgeries to get him all fixed up. He’s still trying to learn that his hips are fixed, so he walks a little odd, but that just goes with his personality! Mitchell is a large dog, so he will benefit from some joint supplements as he ages. He may never be a super high energy guy, but more of a couch potato, hang out with his humans kind of guy. Mitchell wants to be a house dog, a true family companion, and would do best in a lower-key home. Staying active throughout his life will help him, but he won’t ever be a marathoner! Koda is a very sweet, loving, intelligent, & loyal. He would be a great watchdog or family protector. He can jump 5' fences so he needs a yard with a tall fence, & he has some anxiety issues so he needs a person who is experienced w/ that, and/or w/ training shepherds. He is reactive towards adult dogs who are very dominant/don't respect his boundaries, is fussy with puppies & thinks XtraSm dogs are food. He is very scared of loud noises, especially thunder & fireworks, & gets mild separation anxiety. He HATES baths!!! He is not aggressive to humans, but he will attack other dogs that he feels are being threatening & he will accidentally bite people in his attempt to fight another dog, so please use caution to keep yourself, him, & others safe.He is an extremely sweet dog, he is just defensive & gets jealous. He has been learning to use his words instead of his teeth & has made great progress. He would do best as a single pet or with just 1-2 other Md-Lrg dogs that he gets along with.

Hi! I’m full size, just over 2 yrs old and 63 lbs. I’m kennel and house trained. I love toys, treats, chasing squirrels and get along with dogs/cats/kids. I was adopted from OKC shelter 12/2023 with another pup, also up for adoption. Dad named me Scratch because I scratched his arm during playtime when we met. I know my name well but, can be a little slow when called. I have my own kennel, dog bed, meal dishes, toys, food and treats. I’m up to date on all shots, as well as heart worm and flea meds given monthly. I’m a healthy, fun, loving, gingerly and cuddly dog. I’m still learning to follow basic commands; sit, stay, down, no, drop, gentle boy, but I try my best. I’m looking for a loving home due to dad’s job transfer w/included housing that unfortunately does not allow pets. I hope to find someone who will love and spoil me (and maybe my brother) as much as mom, dad and my boy do. Come meet me, I know you’ll love me and want me to be your new fur baby, family member!
