Meet Mitchell – the boy with a heart of gold, ears that live their own life, and a weirdness you can only fully appreciate when you meet him! Mitchell has been in his foster home since the day he was born. He has always been a little different, and a very vocal boy – like all shepherds strive to be. Mitchell is 3 years old and 70 lbs of mostly German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. He loves other dogs and his personality has really taken off with strangers too. He has a couple of best friend foster siblings that he enjoys playing with. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He will need a home with a routine and patience as he works on leash training and that can help him keep learning. Mitchell has a pretty standard shepherd personality. If you have experience with shepherds, you fully understand. He wants to be worried about the world, while also being a social butterfly – an interesting combination for sure! Mitchell does get nervous with new things, but as his confidence continues to grow, we know that nervousness will get less and less. He hasn't been around kids but with his easy going demeanor we don't think he would have any issues in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends. He was born with bad hips and had surgeries to get him all fixed up. He’s still trying to learn that his hips are fixed, so he walks a little odd, but that just goes with his personality! Mitchell is a large dog, so he will benefit from some joint supplements as he ages. He may never be a super high energy guy, but more of a couch potato, hang out with his humans kind of guy. Mitchell wants to be a house dog, a true family companion, and would do best in a lower-key home. Staying active throughout his life will help him, but he won’t ever be a marathoner! Okay everyone- meet Biscuit!  Also known as Biscuits and Gravy, Lobster Bisque, Bisquick, Biscotti, the list goes on!  Biscuit might appear like he’s all business, but in reality he is 100% a giant goofball puppy. He doesn’t realize he’s 65lbs and likes to be held like a baby on your lap while his tummy is rubbed . (Bonus points if you sing lullabies to him!) He’s a talkative guy but settles nicely. He’s great at using the bathroom outside, and cues when he needs to go! He likes toys and has not shown interest in chewing on things that are not his. He's fantastic in his crate!  Biscuit is now accepting applications for a full time belly rub giver and lullaby serenader He does well with other dogs and is submissive and playful. He does not realize his size and loves to play with everyone and everything so small dog friends or tiny children may get knocked over around him, but it's only because he's a giant playful pup.  ##2627949##

Koda is a very sweet, loving, intelligent, & loyal. He would be a great watchdog or family protector. He can jump 5' fences so he needs a yard with a tall fence, & he has some anxiety issues so he needs a person who is experienced w/ that, and/or w/ training shepherds. He is reactive towards adult dogs who are very dominant/don't respect his boundaries, is fussy with puppies & thinks XtraSm dogs are food. He is very scared of loud noises, especially thunder & fireworks, & gets mild separation anxiety. He HATES baths!!! He is not aggressive to humans, but he will attack other dogs that he feels are being threatening & he will accidentally bite people in his attempt to fight another dog, so please use caution to keep yourself, him, & others safe.He is an extremely sweet dog, he is just defensive & gets jealous. He has been learning to use his words instead of his teeth & has made great progress. He would do best as a single pet or with just 1-2 other Md-Lrg dogs that he gets along with.

Fresno is an 8 year old German Shepherd who is good with Women, Men, and chill dogs, both large and small. He requires a slow introduction to other high energy dogs. He has not been tested with kids. A BIG boy and still gaining weight back to be in a good spot. A typical shepherd so ball is life for sure! He still is not a fan of being touched while eating but I feed him in his kennel and he's fine with it. He has been potty trained now and is no longer marking in the house! And he also no longer requires trading to play fetch but he definitely likes his time with the ball to chew on it. Tug is fun too! But make sure it's sturdy otherwise he chews through most dog ropes. He LOVES to sit by the couch and lay his head in your lap for pats. He just needs a warm bed and someone to scratch his ears and throw his ball for him. She loves being near you and is very attentive and responsive. She would do best in an active home with experience handling working-breed dogs. Tally needs daily exercise and mental stimulation and would thrive with a confident owner who can give her a job to do. She is best suited as the only pet, as she has shown prey drive toward cats. Tally is not aggressive toward people and has never bitten a human. She is affectionate, alert, and very smart, she just needs the right environment to succeed. This regal gal is Miss Xena! Xena is an approximately 4-year old female Shepherd / Great Dane mix and weighs around 70 lbs. Xena is truly a warrior princess! She carries herself very gracefully and is truly beautiful. Her pictures do not do her justice! She is a tall and lanky gal! Xena has an awesome personality, can be moderate energy or just chill! She loves playing with other dogs and is currently in a boarding daycare where she plays and socializes with many dogs of all sizes. Xena has done well with the children she has met at outreaches but she has not lived with them before. She is friendly and outgoing. She would love a home where she is included in activities and can interact with her person (people) on a daily basis. She does need a secure stockade-fenced yard as she has legs like a giraffe and could easily clear a chain-link or low fence. When bored, she has jumped a 6-ft chain-link fence just to go the front door of the daycare! Xena appears house-trained. She is crate-trained and walks on a leash like a princess diva! She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. Since Xena is in boarding, she qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just as a foster.
