Story
Meet Fitz! He is 3 years old and 70 pounds. He came to us when he was only 5 weeks old and was witness being attacked by a much larger dog. He suffered a skull fracture as a result of the attack but fully recovered! He is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped! Fitz is your typical dog. He has no lasting effects from his attack and loves life and everything it has to offer. Fitz LOVES playing with his foster siblings and would love to have an active home to keep him entertained. Fitz also attends doggy daycare and absolutely loves going to play with all the other doggos! He also lives with cats and does just fine with them. Fitz is house and kennel trained. Fitz loves little kids and is great with them. He has lived his life with females, so he will take a little extra time to warm up to males in the home, but given patience and understanding he will be a quick sell! He encounters men at daycare and does great with them. Since he’s been in a foster home for so long, Fitz will need a patient adopter that understands he will need a little time to acclimate to his new surroundings – he just may be a little unsure at first. He also moonlights as a doggie model and will happily let you dress him up. He knows he looks good! Attending daycare has kept Fitz very socialized around other dogs, so he really hasn’t ever met a 4 legged stranger. He is a super happy go lucky boy that just wants to swim and play and have a good time. Fitz has been in foster care far too long and we would like nothing better for him to get his happily ever after! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application

Meet Luca! He is a little over a year old and around 45-50 lbs of fun! Luca is the most gorgeous white and brown pitty mix babe — he’s practically model material! When he’s not checking himself out in the mirror, practicing poses for his Facebook posts, he likes to play in the yard with the other dogs in his foster home or just snuggle up with his foster mom to watch Netflix! Luca is house and kennel trained. He knows sit and down (and is working on roll over) and prefers to be rewarded with treats when he gets in his kennel (who doesn't?). He’s food motivated, which has been great for training! He has been working on leash training and is learning quick but would do great with a person or family that can help him keep learning. Luca is a friendly guy and enjoys meeting new people. He has also loved car rides and getting to hang out at a local brewery or patio. He is good with other dogs and interested in cats to the point where he wants to play with them and chase them but not harm them. He is also good with older kids, but has not been around young kids. This playful, sweet boy has so much to offer a person or family that can give a rescue dog the time and patience needed to settle into a new home and learn a new routine! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt him at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application Luca is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He doesn't have any special needs or take any medications. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Mandi Sue better known as “Baby” is a 50 lb 1 year mystery mix, maybe American Pit Bull Terrier with some boxer in there too. She has the cutest underbite and expressive ears. Baby was rescued from euthanasia after arriving to a shelter with significant leg injuries. She received immediate medical care and now rocks the tripod life! She is a big baby that loves giving kisses, snuggling, squeaky toys and naps. She does well with children and is loving and protective with the sweetest spirit. Baby is housebroken and crate trained and has good leash manners. She will be a devoted companion to her family. Mandi had bloodwork at her vet visit. Interested in becoming a forever home for Baby? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Badger and Damascus. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Badger and Damascus the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525 This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, and flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet Wyatt! He is 3 year olds and 80 lbs of lovable boy. Wyatt has tons of personality! He's affectionate, loyal and an overall goofball! He loves to be where the action is or be near his humans. But that can also mean just hanging out on the couch binging TV, watching you do chores around the house, or going for a car ride. He is very friendly and loves attention. He likes to go on walks and is leash trained. He does best with a head collar when going on leash (shown in photos - a part of the collar goes over the nose to provide more head control; this is not a muzzle). He would do great in a home that could help stimulate his body and brain, like going on walks, hikes or runs or having another dog to play with. Wyatt is house and kennel trained and knows sit, come, leave it, and free (command to go on and do his own thing). Wyatt is a lover - of life, of people, of other dogs. He can be a pretty excitable guy but he is a great learner and has spent time with a trainer working on toning down his excitement with people and dogs. He has made AMAZING improvement and his trainer is ready to help an adoptive family transition his training into his new home - showing Wyatt's new family what works best for him, how to structure a home environment, and introduce new dog friends. All this will help ensure a successful transition of his training and set Wyatt up for success. He does need a home without cats or small children. While he is incredibly friendly and loves children, he is a big guy and we think a home with kids 12+ years would be best for him. Wyatt is a great boy and would make a wonderful addition to almost any dog-loving family that can give a rescue dog the time and patience he needs to adjust to a new home and routine. He has so much love and happiness to share. Apply to meet / adopt Wyatt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application

Meet Tucker! He is 3 years old and around 50 lbs of good boy ready to find his forever family! Tucker is very friendly and enjoys people and attention. He is good with kids, but like all dogs his size, he may be best in a home with older kids (6+ yrs) simply because they could easily be knocked down when playing, etc. Of course, all dogs do best in a home with kids that know how to be respectful of their dog friends. He would love to snuggle up on the couch with you and just be a part of the family. He does need a cat-free home. Tucker is a well trained boy! He is house trained, kennel trained, leash trained and a good car rider. He knows sit, come, leave it, and free (command to go on and do his own thing). He is extremely food motivated, a very fast learner, and takes treats nicely. Tucker has been trained with a local trainer who is happy to show potential adopters all of his commands and share what works best for him (and existing family dogs) transitioning into a new home and family. He thrives on structure and his trainer can help a new family build that for him, setting him up for success by showing how to transfer his structure and obedience from here to there. We know this handsome guy will bring so much love to his future family! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt him at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventative, heartworm negative, and microchipped!

Story
Meet Daisey! This sweet girl has been through so much in her short life. We think she is young, maybe 1-3 years old, and only 35 pounds. She probably has some Staffordshire terrier and lab as well as super mutt mixed in her. Daisey is a kind and gentle soul. She will allow love and pets, is not fazed by other animals, is gentle with children and has come a long way with leash manners. Sadly, it seems she may not have had the best past with human interaction. She sticks true to the den animal instincts that many dogs can be known for. She prefers her own quiet space so that she can curl up comfortably and feel safe and relaxed. She is not one for running with the other dogs or playing catch with a child, but she definitely does not mind having either around. Daisey is looking for a family that understands she will need lots of time to acclimate to a new environment before she starts to come out of her shell. Daisey came from a local shelter just days after she had a litter of 12 puppies! She was young, terrified and seemingly a first-time mom. She and her puppies were in very poor health. After medicine, time and love they were all nursed back to health. Now that she has had time to learn what kindness from a human looks like, and all of her puppies have been adopted, Daisey is ready for her forever. Interested in becoming a forever home for Daisey? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Story
Meet Mutt - your future furry best friend! This one-year-old bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any loving home. Weighing in at around 35 lbs, Mutt is the ideal size for cuddles and playtime. Mutt is a well-behaved, house, and kennel-trained pup who's been doing a great job with leash training. He's looking for a forever home with someone who can continue to reinforce his good behavior and continue his leash training journey. This medium-energy marvel is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He's a true "pawsome" playmate and would adore having a doggy friend to frolic with. Mutt is no stranger to the dog park, where he thrives while playing with his buddies. However, Mutt's love for feline friends is not as strong, so he's seeking a cat-free home. While he hasn't lived with kids before, he should do just fine in a home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Mutt is a ton of fun and adores playtime. He's always ready to drag out his toys and engage in a spirited game of tug of war with his furry pals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to give Mutt the loving home he deserves. He's the perfect companion for an active, dog-loving household. Ready to make memories and share adventures with Mutt? Come meet him today and let the good times roll! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application!

Tucker is a fun loving, happy pup!  He’s shy at first but warms up quickly and then he is full of adventure and life!  He has a smile that is contagious. He is crate trained and house broken. He does well on a leash and knows basic commands. He does well riding in the car. Tucker likes being around children, and he is gentle. He is trained to not jump up. He loves other dogs and will play, chase, and wrestle for hours!  He likes to chase cats, but cats don’t seem to like that very much.  Chickens and ducks are just snacks to him, so maybe a home without chickens or a really secure chicken coop would be best. He’s incredibly sweet, loves belly rubs, back scratches, snuggles, and (of course) TREATS!  He’s a good boy who is hoping to find his new best friend. ##1590437##

Story
Tank was saved from the streets. We treated his mange, got him fixed and his shots but our small house was already full with another puppy and elderly dog. From the start we could see how badly he wanted to be loved and how much of a good boy he is at heart so it was always our goal to find him a forever home. He is about 1yr and is the sweetest. He enjoys the company of neighborhood kids and loves to play! He has the cutest snore and knows the basic tricks like sit, lay down, and shake. He is potty and kennel trained and will come with the kennel and his bed. He isn't friendly with neighborhood cats or small dogs but loves our other pit-terrier that he can ruff house with. He can be shy and timid with men but as soon as you show him love and pets he melts!
