Story
Meet Bimbi – Your Loyal, Lovable Companion in the Making   Bimbi is a stunning, 3-year-old spayed beauty weighing in at around 40 pounds. With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. It’s been a while since she’s gotten to feel the wind in her fur, and she misses it deeply.  Bimbi is ready to trade her kennel days for couch cuddles, backyard exploring, movie nights, and being your loyal shadow. She doesn’t think cats make good roommates, so a cat-free home is a must.   If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, who’s ready to learn, ready to play, and even more ready to belong—Bimbi is your girl. Come meet her. She’s been waiting for you.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 26, 2025, 10:08 pm

Story
The rescue story of our perfect German Shepherd boy called Aries as told by his foster mom. He is about 6-7 years and just under 80 pounds: Aries is probably the happiest dog I’ve ever had! He has a lot to celebrate and I think he knows it… I heard that a GSD was at a full local “kill” shelter and made up my mind to rescue him when I heard he had 1 more day. When I went to the shelter to pick him up, his demeanor was to maintain his distance. You could tell he was confused and on his back foot about where he was and why. Then he got a whiff of my farm boots and the great outdoors and his expression changed.Upon arrival at my farm, his personality came alive. I turned him loose in a big grassy field and he ran and sniffed and explored, always coming back to check in with me to make sure I was ok with his enthusiasm!!Since that day he has never looked back. The freedom and carefree abandon he is experiencing is evident in his happy eyes and tail wags. His best friends are two Heelers who he frolics with for hours. His most favorite toy is a big blue ball that he happily plays with when everyone else is resting. Every morning and evening when I feed him he expresses gratitude with wags and a loving lick or two to my face. The best situation for him would be a home with a big yard and lots of room to run and play. He is is a mature and settled, calm dog who has thrived here with me and his new dog friends. He prefers no cat friends!     If you would like to know more please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Bella is a 7-month-old purebred German Shepherd with a bright future ahead of her — and we can’t wait to see where life takes her next. Found wandering as a stray in rural Tennessee alongside her sister Luna, Bella somehow landed on the right side of luck when she came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue. Of the two sisters, Bella is the more outgoing and confident. She currently weighs 47 pounds and is already showing what a well-balanced young shepherd she is. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and rides calmly in the car — all impressive qualities for a puppy her age. Bella gets along beautifully with other dogs, large and small, and is respectful around cats. She isn’t wild, pushy, or chaotic; instead, she’s thoughtful, steady, and eager to please. With positive reinforcement, structure, and continued confidence-building, she will blossom into a stunning adult shepherd, estimated to mature around 70–75 pounds.   After weeks of waiting with no owner stepping forward, Bella and Luna were officially released to CCR, and we are committed to finding them excellent, German Shepherd-savvy homes. A securely fenced yard is required, along with adopters who understand the breed and are excited to continue her training and development. Bella is sweet, adaptable, and ready to learn what it means to truly belong. She and her sister Luna are ready to be home for Christmas, and we would love nothing more than to make that wish come true. If you’re interested in adopting Bella, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.       ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
