Story
Meet Salem! This sweet baby is one of our 9 "Wednesday litter" we have in our rescue. We pulled Mama and babies (Mama's picture is also included in the photoset) from euthanasia in Texas. She and her babies are currently settled in a foster home. They are ready to find their forever families now! Salem is a playful and sensitive pup with a heart full of love once he feels comfortable with you. He loves toys, gets the silliest zoomies, and would love to curl up on the couch with you once he’s burned up his energy. While he’s naturally curious, Salem can be a bit nervous around new people, unfamiliar dogs, and brand‑new places. With slow introductions, patience, and positive reinforcement, he will warm up and show you his true sweet self. He is very smart and easy to train, especially when food is involved. Apples, bananas and cheese are some of his favorites. He is great with his potty training and has been working on basic commands such as sit, down and touch. He loves exploring the yard and his favorite thing is to play with his dog friends. He feels most confident when he has a canine buddy to look up to and would thrive in a home with another calm, confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him continue building trust in the world. Salem is looking for a patient, understanding home that will help him grow at his own pace. If you’re willing to go slow, offer gentle encouragement, and celebrate all his small victories, you’ll have the most loyal best friend! Rubi is about 3 years old and is a black German Shepard. We adopted Rubi about 6 months ago, she is a very loving and a cuddle dog. She has some anxiety about when we leave which has made it hard for us to both have a job in a small apartment. Rubi is great with other dogs and would be amazing with a yard but she doesn't like cats.

Story
Ella is the biggest sweetheart ever! Everyone who meets her falls in love. She has done well with all farm animals, cats, dogs, and kids. There has only been one dog that she has had to stay away from and we can’t figure out why she dislikes him so. Ella loves to play with toys, enjoys snuggling, rides well in a car, and is crate and potty trained. Ella does well on and off leash. She knows basic cues. Ella does need to either have hip surgery or be on pain medication and NSDR is trying to fundraiser and save up for her surgery. She is in pain; if you happen to touch a sore spot, she will signal to you that it hurts. While she is still in pain it is best she is in a home without toddlers that might lean on her or bump her. Ella is already spayed, chipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed. Ella is 5 year old and a German shepherd.
