Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 3:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Louie is a young German Shepherd mix male, around 3 years old.  He bonds quickly to people, and is a very smart dog so will respond well to an experienced dog owner who can provide him structure and positive guidance!  Louie knows lots of basic commands, he is neutered, housetrained and kennel trained. He does require a home with no children as he does have work to do on resource guarding behaviors.  He is friendly and playful with other dogs; but will resource guard without warning so may be best suited as an only dog in his forever home.  Ultimately, the best fit for Louie will be someone willing to devote time and patience to him, and they will be rewarded with the love and loyalty of an amazing pup! No apartments or multi-family home settings for Louie please, and preferably a person within 50 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA so as to continue to work with Cedar Run Pet Boarding & Daycare for training help as needed.  Louie's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus the assistance of Cedar Run for basic obedience training classes and resources.  Last Hope does require that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. This includes animals already owned by potential adopters. Our adoption process includes multiple opportunities for meet and greets, a vet history check and home visit as well as background and reference checks.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 3:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bleu is a very handsome Siberian Husky mix, he is fully house trained and has not had a single accident in his foster home. He knows several commands and is very obedient, he is also kennel trained although he does not necessarily require one. Blue loves to be near his people, and the perfect home would be one with someone he could hang out with all day, or go to work with. He'll just nap the hours away at your feet! Bleu's up for adventure, but is also cool with just chilling at home with you. A fenced yard is preferred for his husky curiosity, as good smells can carry him away! Bleu is great with other dogs, but we are not sure about how he is with young children as he has never met them. For this reason, we are asking for a home with older children or no children please. Bleu would probably be okay with a dog-savvy cat who can stand their ground, not one that would run away because he will likely chase them. Bleu's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives for consideration. Please submit an adoption application at Adopthope.org if you’d like to meet Bleu!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 3:34 pm
