Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sonic!   Just like his name suggests, Sonic is always ready for his next adventure! This handsome 1 to 2-year-old neutered Husky mix turns heads everywhere he goes with his striking mismatched eyes - one blue and one brown, and his playful, energetic personality. Sonic is looking for an active home that understands the unique needs of northern breeds. He's smart, athletic, and full of enthusiasm, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, exploring, or simply keeping up with an energetic best friend. Because Huskies are known for their intelligence, independence, and drive, Sonic will do best with adopters who have previous breed experience and are committed to providing plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a big personality, stunning looks, and endless potential, Sonic might just be your perfect match. Come meet this blue-eyed (and brown-eyed!) boy, you'll quickly see why everyone falls in love with him. Sonic’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccines/heartworm testing and monthly preventatives. Also included in the adoption is a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. If you would like to meet Sonic, please submit an application through our website Adopthope.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Toby, a friendly guy who loves meeting people and is always excited to see what adventure is next! He does great on group walks with the other rescue pups and overall just enjoys getting out and about. Toby is looking for a secure, stable home with an experienced dog owner. He will need a dedicated yard or outdoor space where he can safely get his energy out and enjoy plenty of time exploring. Toby is very food motivated, so much so that he makes checking the trash can part of his daily routine! He's also a big fan of toys, loves to play, and has an absolute blast playing in the kiddie pools. Whether he's splashing around, playing with his favorite toy, or heading out for a walk, Toby is happiest when he's having fun with his people.  Here at the adoption center, Toby can be reactive when he's on leash or behind a barrier, so his new family should be prepared to continue working with him using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He has shown that he enjoys walks and outing and will thrive with someone willing to help him continue building those skills. Toby does have a strong instinct to chase small animals when he is out and about, therefore he looking for a home without any cats or other small animals.  Toby's adoption fee is $250 and includes his microchip, neutered, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience class at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Toby is seeking an indoor only home. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventative care. Our adoption process includes a background check, home visit, and vet history check. If you would like to meet Toby, please submit an adoption application for consideration on our website, Adopthope.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 11, 2026, 1:49 pm

Story
Stitch's story could have been very different, but he has chosen to greet the world with happiness instead of hardship. After his owner was jailed, Stitch was left outside alone for several days before being brought to safety. He had sores and open wounds from a harness that had become far too tight and from spending far too much time without the care, attention, and companionship every dog deserves. Despite everything he endured, Stitch has remained one of the sweetest, happiest dogs you'll ever meet. This goofy, affectionate boy absolutely loves people and makes up for lost time by soaking up every bit of attention he can get. Whether he's wagging his tail, showing off his playful side with a favorite stuffy, or happily walking by your side, Stitch's joyful personality shines through. He's confident, curious, and always ready for his next adventure, but he never forgets to stop for a few extra pets along the way. Stitch already knows "sit," walks nicely on a leash, takes treats gently, is crate trained, and keeps his kennel clean. He has done well with children of all ages and would make an excellent companion for a first-time dog owner. He enjoys staying active and would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and continue building confidence through positive experiences. Stitch is not a fan of cats, so he is looking for a feline-free home. More than anything, Stitch deserves a family that will give him what he's always wanted: love, security, and the chance to truly be part of a family. His past does not define him. Instead, it highlights his incredible resilience and forgiving nature. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit, a goofy personality, and an endless appreciation for the people who love him, Stitch is ready to start his next chapter with you.
