Nico is a Malinois / Mastiff mix that is 8 years of age and around 65 pounds. He is impeccably trained with obedience and commands such as sit, stay, come, place and elevated commands such as "finish," and "peak," along with some basic scent work. He is extremely loyal to his "bonded" person and needs a savvy owner to build that mutual respect. This brindle breed mix is very intelligent and although he has lived with another dog in the past, we recommend his ideal environment be a home where he is an only pet to relax in his retirement years. He is a great companion for walks, lounging in the sunshine in a fenced yard and fulfilling the couch potato roll. He is at the age where he appreciates quieter surroundings. He enjoys human contact with his people. We would love to see him live out retirement days with a person who gives him attention, comfort, the luxury items of a comfy dog bed and lounging time in the backyard sunshine!

Meet Teva — Your Future Adventure Buddy! Teva is a beautiful 44-pound, 1-year-old Husky mix currently being fostered through Oldham County Humane Society, and she’s ready to find a home that understands her gentle heart. Teva can be cautious with new people and is a bit hand-shy at first. She likely had a rough start in life, so she needs a little time to feel safe. But once she warms up, she completely transforms—playful, affectionate, and eager to be your best friend. This girl LOVES to play. Chase a ball, toss a frisbee, or throw just about anything, and she’ll happily run after it with that classic Husky enthusiasm. She’s joyful, athletic, and so fun to be around once she trusts you. Teva would thrive in a home with another friendly dog she can play with, though she can absolutely learn to be an only dog as long as she has plenty of chew items, enrichment, and playtime. She also does well with cats! Given her shy nature and need for slow introductions, Teva would do best in an adults-only home where things are a bit more predictable. To support her successful transition, WMK9 – Well-Mannered K9 is offering a free in-home private lesson for her future adopter. This session will help you understand Teva’s personality, build trust, and set her up to thrive in her new home. If you’re willing to go slow, give her space to adjust, and let her come out of her shell on her timeline, Teva will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love. She’s truly a special dog—she just needs the right person to see it.

Tilly is a 44-pound, 8 month old medium-sized, mixed breed terrier. We believe she may be mixed with some shepherd, husky, or even a carolina dog! Either way, Tilly is a gorgeous blonde pup who can't wait to steal your heart with her pointy ears. Tilly loves to sit in her favorite lawn chair out in the yard while she observes her surroundings. She would love a home where she can play a healthy game of tug of war. She considers herself a bit of a decorator and would love to pile up as many blankets as she possibly can to lay on! Along with her lovely ears and gorgeous color, Tilly comes with the ability to JUMP! While Tilly has not attempted any yard escapes with us, she could absolutely get over the standard 4 foot chain-link fence. Come meet Miss Tilly at the Humane Society of Oldham County today!
