Meet Blue!This big, handsome boy is a certified staff favorite! He loves cuddling, belly rubs, and having all the treats he can get his paws on. He`s friendly with other pups and loves attention from people. He`s a chill, relaxed guy who just wants to go for sniffy walks and likes to relax on the couch for a long afternoon nap. Not to worry though - he will get excited when he sees you come home from work or wherever and may not leave your side for a bit but its all based on how much he loves you! Blue is a tad overweight and that extra weight puts some pressure on his joints so stairs may be a bit of a challenge for him until he drops a few pounds. Blue would make a great companion for just about anyone but he has a big boy bark that could be intimidating to some even though he`s a gentle giant full of love and affection! Does he sound like the boy you`ve been looking to welcome into your home? If so please drop by our Boston location to meet him!Blue is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays.For information about our adoption process click here

He is a medium energy guy who loves playing with his foster siblings, going for walks, and then napping on his doggy bed or the couch when the day is done. He would be a wonderful fit for just about any home ready to give this lovable boy all the attention he deserves.Hercules has not met a stranger yet and runs over to greet every person he meets with pure excitement. He loves playing with other dogs and would do great with or without a canine sibling. He has not been around cats but his friendly and social nature suggests he would likely do fine with proper introductions. He is wonderful with kids and a great fit for a family of any kind.Hercules is a fast learner who is food and toy motivated, making training a genuine pleasure. He is fully crate trained and house trained on a consistent daily routine. He greets with great enthusiasm and is doing much better about keeping all four paws on the floor with a simple reminder. He walks well on leash, occasionally pulling but correcting easily with a little guidance.This big-eared, big-hearted boy has so much love and enthusiasm to bring into a forever home.
