Story
Hi! I’m Porsche. 🐾✨ Yes — like the car. And honestly? The name fits. I’m about a year and a half old, full of energy, and built for movement. I’ve got that classic German Shepherd brain — smart, alert, and ready to go. But I also have a soft side that just wants attention and connection. I recently came back to the shelter after a short stay in a home. Transitions can be a lot for a young shepherd like me. Big changes, new dogs, new environments — it’s overwhelming when everything happens at once. I’m still learning how to slow down and settle when life moves fast. Here’s what I can tell you about the real me: I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I love attention. 💕 I know sit and down, and I come when you call my name. I enjoy car rides 🚗 and I’m happiest when I have something to do — especially if it squeaks! Oh… and toys? They are my thing. 🎾 If there’s a squeaker inside, I will find it. Immediately. I love fetch — although sometimes I’d rather lie down and proudly chew on the ball like I just won a championship. I can get very focused on my toys (I take play seriously!). When I first come out of a kennel, I’ve got some zoomies in me — that young shepherd energy! But once I’m in the yard and have space to move, I settle nicely. Structure helps me. Clear expectations help me. Slow introductions help me. I’m not a “throw me in the backyard and figure it out” kind of dog. I’m a “let’s build this the right way” kind of dog. With proper introductions, supervision, and guidance, I have all the potential in the world to thrive. I would do best with: A confident, experienced dog owner Structured routines Slow, thoughtful introductions to other pets Plenty of enrichment and toy time I’m young. I’m smart. I’m full of potential. And I’m ready for someone who wants to invest in me the right way. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion with a playful heart and a working-dog brain, I might be your girl. Let’s do this properly — together. 💛 — Porsche 🐕

Story
Sadie is my buddy; she is a very loyal dog. When first meeting anyone, she barks. She has a scary bark but is very sweet. It does take a little bit for her to warm up to someone. Sadie is VERY good motivated, and not above eating out of the trashcan. She is a sweet dog, if you can get past the initial bark. Her German Shepherd traits come out well, as she is protective. But she also has had no issue with random contractors coming into the house or backyard when we have not been home (surprising to us). She just lets them know she's there. Sadie is energetic for a 4-year-old. She was born on March 27, 2022. She loves going on car rides, runs, and walks - and knows those words well. *She comes with a kennel, toys, mat, slow feeder bowl, and everything else.

Meet Teddy!   Teddy Husky mix 1 year old; 45 lbs Looking for a handsome, fun-loving companion? Teddy is a gorgeous 1-year-old Husky mix weighing in at   45 lbs . Teddy was found as a stray, so we don’t know much about his previous life, but we do know this sweet boy is a friendly, high-energy pup who absolutely loves to play, walks well on a leash, and gets along  with other dogs, cats, and children alike! He is already crate-trained, knows basic commands like "sit," "no," "stop," and "kennel," and is mostly house-trained. True to his breed, he sports a thick, beautiful Husky coat and thrives on activity, making him the perfect fit for an active family ready to give him the exercise and love he deserves. Teddy is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and ready to find his forever home! Foster/adoption forms at nebraskanokill.org Suggested adoption donation: $300.00  July 23, 2026, 1:22 pm
