At just 2 years old and 73 pounds, Skubidoo is the total package—handsome, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure! This shepherd mix came to Boxers & Buddies after being picked up as a stray by Washoe Regional Animal Services. Sadly, no one ever came looking for him, but we're determined to help him find the loving family he deserves.His foster says it best: "He is wonderful! He loves toys, loves to snuggle, and is happiest just hanging out with us while we're cooking, working, or watching TV."Skubidoo is a confident, friendly boy with a playful spirit and a loyal heart. He loves being part of whatever his people are doing, whether it's playing with his favorite toys, going for a walk, or simply relaxing nearby while you cook, work, or unwind for the evening.He's already:🐾 Crate trained (and settles down nicely when left alone)🏡 Potty trained🎓 Knows basic commands🍽️ A great eater❤️ Healthy and ready for his forever homeSkubidoo has a medium-high activity level and would thrive with a family that enjoys getting out for walks, adventures, and continuing his training. Like many strong, enthusiastic dogs, he can pull on the leash when he's excited, so he'd benefit from positive reinforcement training to improve his leash manners and continue building his confidence. He's eager to learn and enjoys working with his people.Skubidoo would do best as the only dog or with an easygoing, non-dominant canine companion. He prefers not to share his home with another strong, dominant personality and would be happiest in a home where he doesn't feel the need to compete. We aren't yet sure how he does with cats or children, so thoughtful introductions would be important. After spending who knows how long fending for himself, Skubidoo has shown that his heart is still full of love and trust. Now he's looking for a family who will give him the stability, guidance, and unconditional love he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend who's happiest simply being by your side.❤️ Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.
