This sweet 5-year-old, Shepherd mix came to our rescue from a kill shelter while pregnant, and we're so grateful she found her way to us. Beverly Cleary is a gentle giant at 90 pounds, and she's eager to find a loving home where she can finally settle down and write her own happily ever after. Shepherds, like Beverly Clearly, are known for their intelligence and loyalty. They are active dogs that thrive with regular exercise and mental stimulation. While Beverly is a loving and affectionate girl who adores human companionship, she'll thrive with an experienced owner who can provide consistent training and guidance. With patience and positive reinforcement, she'll blossom into a wonderful companion. Although she's dog friendly, we think she would do best with male dog or a submissive calm female. Alpha got to spend the day out of the shelter on a date! He did great! He loved having his head out of the window and feeling the breeze on his face.This is how his date described the day: `We went to many different places! We went to Dorostkar Park, then Crystal Peak Park in Verdi, then In-N-Out for a pup patty, and we cruised around a little to let him feel the wind. He had so much speed in him and he let us know when he wanted to leave by taking us back to the car. He pulled a little but nothing too crazy. I noticed he already knew how to sit and shake, and did it first try! He followed his nose the whole way and we let him lead.` What a great experience for Alpha and his date.

We have had him for about a year now and we got him as a gift from a family member. We were told he is a German shepherd husky mix (unclear). He is a little over a year old and is full of love and energy. He needs someone with patience as he does have plenty of energy to give. He is really good with kids, other dogs (big or small) and cats as I’ve seen so far. He is good in a crate but he does get a little stir crazy if in there for long. He is a good type of protective, Ive never seen a vicious or violent side of him. He is also a good car ride dog, he can be chill in the car and enjoys the ride. He is a smart dog and seems to be an easy dog to train but I do not have the time to do that myself. I am needing a new home for him asap because I feel I cannot give him the life he needs. He needs a loving home but with plenty of room to get his energy out. He would do well in a family home or someone wanting a buddy to take everywhere.

Cooper is a one of a kind dog. He is very rare. He is what's called a Phu Quoc Ridgeback. Possibly mixed with malinois but if he is mixed he's predominantly Phu Quoc. He has the ridge. He is a hunting dog. My ideal home for him would be someone with a yard a big yard where he can run and chase squirrels. He cannot go to home with other dogs that are small or cats. He is prey driven. He is a marker and may pee in the house and he might poop. However if he does poop in the house he's smart enough to keep it in the bathroom. He's very loyal loving smart just temperamental if he's left alone for too long he's going to try to teach you a lesson by getting in the trash peeing acting a fool. But he is beautiful and loyal. Fun to play with. He can be mouthy and gnaw at you sometimes. I love this guy but he needs more than what I can offer him.
