Meet sweet Foxy! This fantastic senior lady is a total catch: 18 pounds of adorable chill in the body of tiny fox. She’s shrouded in mystery: we’re not sure on her age or her breed, but our best guess? Around 7 years old and part Shiba Inu—a wonderful, spirited Japanese spitz breed. The evidence? She looks like a tiny fox; grooms herself like a cat; has an airy bark that comes out less loud and less often than her canine counterparts; sports a red double coat with a puffy, white, sheep-like underlayer; and wags her adorable curly spitz tail ever so slightly for her favorite humans. She is both independent (loves to lay on the back of a couch or sit outside in the sun) and loyal (loves to be close to people and receive pets). Foxy is house trained, food motivated, and content in a crate when you’re not home. She loves every human and dog she meets and is living relaxed with both the little kids and the big dogs in her current foster family. This Foxy lady would be an easy extra dog to add to your existing pack, or just as happy as a one-dog home companion. Foxy is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, has had a recent dental with several extractions, heartworm negative, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is just $300.00.
