1. Health Condition
* Spayed.
* Microchipped, and heartworm retest is scheduled in Feb. 2026.
* Canine teeth are worn out, so you need to be careful by preventing her from chewing hard things such as wood sticks or bone snacks.
2. Rescue Story
* Guma was staying at the Gimje City Shelter on a hot summer day with other dogs. Just before the heat wave and monsoon season hit, she was urgently rescued. She stood out for her strong attachment to people and her desperate longing for affection.
3. Basic Information
* With People: Although initially shy with strangers, she quickly opens up and enjoys being adored. Stays still and enjoys gentle petting. Recently, has started approaching guests on her own and is comfortable being with them even without her guardian. Was a bit awkward on the first day she met her guardians, but from the next day, she greeted them excitedly with a wagging tail and follows when called. Recently, when an acquaintance of the guardian took charge of her for a few days, she got along very well with them and learned the dog tricks.
* With Dogs: Wags her tail but seems to feel awkward when she encounters other dogs.
* With Cats: Stared at cats when she encountered them. Followed the instruction right away when the guardian asked her to go.
* Separation Anxiety: Plays and sleeps well on her own without barking or whining. Seems to enjoy her alone time. Still, when her guardian comes home late, she softly grumbles and makes little woo-woo sounds to express herself. Due to her tendency to defecate outdoors only, her guardian is taking her for a walk during lunch time or going to work together with her to avoid her alone time as much as possible.
* Potty Training: Does outdoor potty. Goes out for walk three times a day for the potty purpose.
* Hygiene: Is calm and well-behaved during baths, drying, brushing, nail trimming and tooth brushing.
* Walks: Pulls a bit on the leash when she is in a hurry to go to the grass for defecation or wants to approach other dogs during walks. In seeing a bicycle or a motorcycle, sometimes tries to chase it.
* Car Sickness: Vomited from nervousness on her first car ride to the foster home. Since then, however, she’s been much more relaxed during rides with her guardian and hasn't shown signs of motion sickness.
* Nip: Doesn't ’bite at all. Shows no reaction even when treats or toys are taken away.
* Barking: In encountering other dogs during a walk, tries to approach them while whining. Mumbles when her guardian returns home late from the work. No unnecessary barking at all.
* Like It: Loves people and is very attentive to her guardian.
* Dislike It: Tends to shy away when large items are moved or when the vacuum cleaner is on.
* Tricks: Recognizes her name and comes running right away when called! When people gently tap the floor, she flops over regardless of where she is. If they tap their arms, she comes over and rests on it like a pillow. If they tap their legs, she lies down across it! Sometimes does not respond the call when she's concentrating on something else.
