Meet Nala – A Loyal Heart Waiting for Her Person
Nala is a beautiful Basenji/Black Mouth Cur mix with an athletic spirit, a contagious smile, and ears that are impossible not to love. At 4–5 years old and 50 pounds, she's the perfect combination of playful energy and devoted companionship.
While Nala enjoys playing hard, chasing toys, and exploring outdoors, she also appreciates having a safe place to relax and recharge. She's happiest when she has an active family that will include her in everyday adventures.
Because of her past, Nala is cautious when meeting new people and needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She isn't the kind of dog who instantly loves everyone she meets. Instead, she forms deep, lasting bonds with her people, and once you've earned her trust, you'll have a fiercely loyal best friend for life.
Nala gets along well with other dogs when introductions are done properly, but she does have some resource guarding with food and toys around other dogs. She does not resource guard these items with people. She would do best with an experienced owner who can manage mealtimes and high-value items appropriately, or as the only dog where she can soak up all the attention herself.

Nala is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. She is also potty trained and kennel trained, settling quietly in her crate after a fun-filled day.
