Story
Pebbles came to us when her human mom passed away and the owners son could no longer care for her. She is 12-13 years old and 9-10 lbs. She will require a patient adopter willing to give her time to settle in as she can be a bit of an anxious girl in unfamiliar situations. Pebbles has learned the potty routine at her foster home but it did take awhile. Pebbles is a healthy girl and got a dental cleaning while in the rescue from which she fully recovered. Pebbles would do best in a home where someone is there most of the time. Pebbles does ok in a crate though also can free roam in the home. She is not really used to the leash so would do better with a small yard. Pebbles gets along with cats and dogs but may not do well in a home with higher energy small children but would likely be ok with older respectful children. She is not a fan of grooming so an adopter will be willing to manage that behavior. Pebbles is an independent girl and not much of a lap dog. Story
Ozzy came to us from CA where he was at risk due to some pretty typical old man issues. He has really blossomed in his foster home and is now feeling and looking great. He is around 11 years old and about 13 lbs and is a really nice boy. He got a dental when he was neutered and his bloodwork came back with no concerns. Ozzy is good about going potty outside with regular opportunities. He loves hanging out in the yard when the weather is nice and loves the other dogs he lives with once he gets to know them (even tries to play!!). He does well on a leash and walks right by other dogs no fuss or barking. He is fine in a crate though has good house manners. Because he loves his yard time he would likely be best in a home with at least a small fenced yard. Ozzy was initially very standoffish but soon warms up and starts connecting. His level of intimacy and preference for pets and cuddles is more akin to a cats though; he will come up and solicit pets when he is in the mood but often chooses a few feet of distance. If you ever wanted a cat in dog form or a dog that isn't 'too needy' this one is the right pick for you!! Ozzy does prefer females or men that are not too big and imposing, and his innate skittishness and appreciation of space means kids would not be a good match. Ozzy loves to nap and food is his love language. Ozzy will take time a patience to adapt to a new home Ozzy does have some resource guarding with food so just needs to be fed alone. Story
Chico aka Winkie came to us from PACC where he was diagnosed with valley fever but is a champ at taking his pills and is doing great. He will require ongoing medication ($20-30 mo average) He will be getting cherry eye repair and neuter early next week and then should be adoption ready by the 30th. Chico is an extremely polite houseguest though he might be best in a semi active home in that he loves taking walks, and is great on a leash. He also enjoys his yard time and gets along great with other dogs but could be happy also as an only dog. Winkie is estimated as 8 years and 16 lbs Chico does tend to get underfoot and could have door dashing/escape tendencies so will need a secure home. Chico does fine in a crate though has excellent house manners and does not get into things he shouldn't, nor does he get on the furniture unless invited. Chico is fully housebroken and does not mark at all in the house or yard. Chico has adapted well to both foster homes (his PACC foster and his CTSS foster) so will likely do well adjusting to his forever home. If you are interested in this VERY good boy submit an application HERE >>> https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application

Story
Callie is a new addition to the rescue but is being fast tracked because she seems like an incredible girl. She has been good with everyone she has met (2 legged and 4 legged). She is a "big boned girl at 23-24 lbs and could stand to lose at least 5 lbs so will need an adopter willing to work on healthy weight. She is spayed, chipped and current on vaccines. We are still awaiting bloodwork but not concerned as she seems lie a healthy young senior (estimated as 8 years) Callie walks nicely on leash, is housebroken (using dog door) and does fine in a crate though is also trustworthy to be left to roam free in the home. She is not an excessive barker and has a pretty easy going temperament! Her foster mom says that she is a VERY good girl!! Callie should be adoption ready by 1/23 so please submit application HERE >>> https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application.
