Mufasa & Simba: A Father and Son Looking for Human Kindness 🐾 Some dogs come into rescue with broken bones. Mufasa and Simba came with broken trust. Rescued from the streets of South Central, where they were starved and physically abused.This sweet father and son had learned that human hands often brought fear instead of love. In the beginning, they would flinch every time someone reached down to pet them. They expected pain instead of kindness. Little by little, they realized they were finally safe. Today, they lean into your touch. They wag their tails. They ask for cuddles. They have learned what it feels like to be loved. Now they’re waiting for their forever family. MUFASA (3 years old) the gentle, laid-back dad. His favorite place is by your side or with his head out the car window, letting the wind hit his face. He loves quiet moments, cuddles, treats, and simply being close to the people he trusts. SIMBA (1 year old) is his goofy, energetic son. He sleeps through car rides but comes alive the second it’s time to play. He loves zoomies, bath time, belly rubs, and making everyone laugh. Together, they are inseparable. They love running around together, playing with other dogs, pup cups, and yummy treats! They’re happiest when they’re together, doing the simple things that every dog deserves to enjoy. Their bond is beautiful. Simba still looks to his dad for comfort, confidence, and reassurance. Mufasa watches over his son the way only a father can. They have already survived neglect. They have already experienced fear. Now it's time for them to experience a life filled with love from their very own family. We’re looking for a family willing to open their heart and home to BOTH of them. They don’t need a perfect home they just need people who will continue showing them that love is forever. They were initially very underweight, but with plenty of nutritious food, they are now a normal weight. They have both been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She came to us as an owner surrender, and now this petite girl is ready for a fresh chapter filled with new experiences, familiar routines, and someone to call her own. She’s good with other dogs, but Chica has her own way of taking in the world. Give her a little time and you’ll get to discover the funny, affectionate, and endearing quirks that make her who she is. At 2 years old, she’s past the puppy mayhem but still has plenty of life ahead. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET JASPER…..a precocious little 9 lb, 3 yr old, tan/white, ShihPoo — as far as we can tell! The shelter shaved him before we picked him up, so we’re not 100% sure. What we are sure of is he is an absolute doll! Are you looking for a playful little imp who will kiss you ’till the cows come home and snuggle with you at will? Are you looking for a little guy who is like a boomerang when you throw him a toy, who will fetch it back to you every time? Are you looking for a guy who wants to go with you everywhere because he doesn’t like being left behind…who would love to be part of a family with kids over 8 yrs old — watch sporting events with you — tag along at brunch and let you know how much he loves you? Jasper is that pup! Not 100% potty trained, but getting better. Does his business outside, sometimes on a pp pad and sometimes misses…but Jasper is very smart and wants to please. He is VERY playful and would love a companion dog, but is also very human oriented if you don’t plan to leave him alone much. He is pocket size and will fit under the seat in an airplane…or sit next to you if possible!
