Shuga is a petite 10 lbs, 2 year old Shih Tzu - Poodle mix girl. She is blind, probably from birth, but it doesn't stop her. Shuga, as in "Sugar" loves to play with the other young dogs in her foster home, as well as anything that makes a sound, including paper that has found the floor. Outside, she runs excitedly around the yard because there’s little to bump into, and she has explored most of the back ¼ acre. She will join the other dogs at the fence who are commenting on people and dogs walking by. Yes, she offers her opinion! Shuga is pee pad trained and does not like to go on walks; there are too many scary things she can hear but not see. Patience and trust should help her learn to enjoy her walks. Shuga would be great in an adoptive home where things mostly remain in the same place. She is currently fostered in North Carolina but can travel for the perfect forever home. I'm a gentle little man that was found as a stray and ended up at the county shelter. My foster mom says I'm a quiet sweet fellow. I seem to be potty trained. I'm going to get neutered and have my teeth cleaned before the end of March and then I'll be ready for my forever home. I'm great with other dogs. I'm just the right size at 12lbs, not to trip you up but climb up and cuddle in a lap which I am really good at.

Story
Milo is 6 or 7 years old coming up this October! He is full of energy and loves long walks and playing fetch with his toys at home. He is a very loving and energetic pup and sees himself as a guard dog of the home. I have had him since he was about 10 weeks old and have enjoyed his companionship and watching him develop. I have a toddler now and no longer have the time to tend to Milo as he needs. He is accustomed to being the center of attention and does appreciate lots of quality time. Due to a change in his quality of life, Milo has started showing signs of aggression and extreme reactivity. He does not do well with other animals, but seems to be fine with kids. I believe with the proper reactivity/aggression training he can fit into society amongst any other trained and well behaved pup/ I am looking for someone who can welcome him into a home and provide the time and attention that he deserves. Ideally someone patient and active, who has the time and genuine desire to help him.
