After sadly losing his owner, he’s now looking for a new forever home where he can be cherished just as much as he deserves. Bentley loves his toys and is especially happy when playing catch with tennis balls: it’s one of his favorite games! He’s been well socialized with both small and large dogs and does well around them. While he enjoys playtime, Bentley is just as content being a cuddle bug. He loves to sit on your lap and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s used to having someone home most of the time, so he would thrive in a home where he has plenty of companionship. Bentley is housebroken and ready to settle into a loving home that will give him the stability and attention he’s accustomed to. **Bonded to Bentley - must be adopted together** Sebastian is an 8 year old, 20 lb Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with a sweet, gentle soul. He is currently overweight, but his foster mom has been working hard on getting him to shed some pounds. He has already lost 7 lbs since entering the rescue. He came into rescue after his beloved owner passed away, and he’s now looking for a new home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished again. Sebastian has been well socialized with both small and large dogs. While he’s perfectly comfortable around other pups, he’s more of a “chill and relax” kind of guy rather than a playful one. He’s happiest just hanging out and enjoying the company. He would do best in a home without cats. He is housebroken and enjoys running around in a fenced yard to stretch his legs, but overall he has a calm, easygoing nature. Sebastian is used to having someone home most of the day, so he’s hoping to find a similar situation where he won’t be alone for long periods. Hi! This is Chase. He will be turning 8 years old this October. I purchased him from a small breeder in 2018. He is house-trained and knows how to let someone know when it’s time to go outside. He is very people-friendly but does not get along well with other animals. He is energetic and can be loud at times, as he tends to bark. Overall, he is a good dog; however, I can no longer keep him due to my busy schedule. I am looking for a great home where he will receive lots of love and attention.

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! A Victor is a precious miniature poodle mix. He came to us with an injured leg that required amputation. He has adjusted very well and loves to run. Victor is crate trained and can walk on a leash. Victor requires a home with a secure fenced yard that is appropriate for a small breed dog. Victor will need a home with no small children. He is very loving, but can be protective of his people and toys. Victor does not have a bite history, but needs a family that understands small dogs with an attitude. He is so very loving and loves to give kisses. If you’re interested in learning more about this baby, please apply to furkids.org. We are not considering out-of-state adoptions. Victor currently weighs about 12lbs and is approximately 2 years old (estimated birth date 10/03/2023). His adoption fee is $185. Victor has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped. Bruno may be small, but he’s got a big personality—and a little spice to go with it! This clever, loyal pup is full of love once he feels safe with you. At first, he can be nervous around new people and situations, but with patience (and maybe a little cheese), his sweet and affectionate side shines through. Because Bruno can become nippy if startled or rushed, he’s looking for an experienced adopter who understands “spicy” dogs and is willing to respect his boundaries. A calm, low-traffic home without children will be the best fit for him. The good news? Bruno has plenty of great qualities to offer his perfect person! He’s housetrained, crate-trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs. A fenced yard is required. While he can walk on a leash, he becomes very reactive to strangers. To help set him up for success, Bruno’s adoption will include a couple of meet-and-greets and a home visit. He isn’t a dog for everyone—but for the right person, he’ll be a devoted and wonderful companion. Baby Bruno weighs 13lbs. and is approximately 4 years old (est. birth date 03/22/2021). Farley is a goofy, playful little guy who loves walks, food, and being close to his people. He’s learning how to play, how to feel safe and loved, and how to channel his excitement — complete with the cutest zoomies and fun energic moments that will absolutely make you laugh. He’s crate trained, doing great with potty training, walks well on leash, and is very treat-motivated (which makes him super trainable). Farley is working on controlling some of his more puppy impulses and making awesome progress every day. He’d do best in a home with older children and an active family who will walk him daily, keep him engaged, and give him structure and affection. A fun, loving little companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
