Story
Hi! This is Chase. He will be turning 8 years old this October. I purchased him from a small breeder in 2018. He is house-trained and knows how to let someone know when it’s time to go outside. He is very people-friendly but does not get along well with other animals. He is energetic and can be loud at times, as he tends to bark. Overall, he is a good dog; however, I can no longer keep him due to my busy schedule. I am looking for a great home where he will receive lots of love and attention.

Story
Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around!    Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!    Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly.     Edith is currently  living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans. She’s a one of a kind!   Interested in adopting our adorable little Ewok? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2622243##

Story
Meet Eedy!  We rescued Eedy back in May 2025 from a metro area shelter and it’s taken this long (and a lot of TLC) to get her ready for adoption! Severe upper respiratory infection; malnutrition; skin infection….this poor girl had it all when she came to us. But as you can see from the pictures, she’s a new woman now! It’s extremely difficult to guess age on dogs that have been neglected as much as poor Eedy has throughout her lifetime, but we’re going with somewhere between 9-11 years old. She definitely acts like she is on the lower end of that age range now that she’s feeling so so much better. Eedy is great with other dogs and cats, but truly all she wants out of life now is a nice quiet spot in the sun to nap and her very own person to trail along after, helping in the garden on nice days or curling up in front of a cozy fire on a cool evening.   Eedy is on some medications that she will likely require for life - thyroid medicine and apoquel. It is possible that with further study to determine what she is allergic to, and maybe dietary changes, the apoquel might be able to be discontinued.  Interested in adopting Eedy and showing her that the best is yet to come in her Golden Years? Story
Meet Teagan!  Earlier in the year we rescued Tate and Truman, 2 standard poodles, along with a poodle mix puppy from Upson County after they had been surrendered to animal control. A couple of weeks ago, we found out the same family had just surrendered 3 more standard poodles. We really take the “You don’t leave family behind” philosophy seriously, so even though it had been months since we saved the first group and we REALLY don’t have room for more dogs - we knew we had to save these guys! Teller was in the worst shape. He was completely matted and caked in mud. And his poor eyes so infected. It took hours to get him cleaned up. If you’ve ever had to shave down a severely matted dog, you’ll know it’s very similar to sheering a sheep - the hair just comes off in one huge piece. Thankfully, the girls Tiggy and Teagan, had been groomed before at some point and were in much better shape.  Our unconfirmed theory is that Teagan (grey) is mom to Teller (black) and Tiggy (blonde). Teller and Tiggy both appear to be about a year old so we think they are probably littermates. Teagan is about 2-3 years old - still young herself. All three of these amazing poodles are super super sweet; great with dogs of all sizes; and cats!! Sweet Teagan was even trying to play with our special little NeuroSpicy girl Sofia on her first night!  These guys are all looking for tried and true Standard Poodle homes. To know poodles is to love them, but these 3 have all been failed by humans once and we won’t let that happen again - so we really do want homes that know all the good, bad, and ugly that comes with having Standard Poodles as family members. Does that sound like you?? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Prior first hand ownership experience with Standard Poodles is a strict requirement to adopt. Must live in Metro Atlanta and have at least one other playful dog in the home  ##2579219##
