Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Hi! This is Chase. He will be turning 8 years old this October. I purchased him from a small breeder in 2018. He is house-trained and knows how to let someone know when it’s time to go outside. He is very people-friendly but does not get along well with other animals. He is energetic and can be loud at times, as he tends to bark. Overall, he is a good dog; however, I can no longer keep him due to my busy schedule. I am looking for a great home where he will receive lots of love and attention.

Say HELLO to Maverick! Mavvy, as he is affectionately called, is the ultimate Standard Poodle! Smart, active, loving, loyal, and a touch stubborn….just like any self respecting Standard Poodle should be!  Maverick is just over 2 years old and about 60 lbs. He’s great with dogs of all sizes, house trained, and crate trained. He’s looking for a tried and true Standard Poodle family who loves a good Velcro dog. This boy loves to be right by his person’s side - he gives the best hugs! Mavvy’s favorite time of day is bedtime because that means he gets to cuddle up in bed next to his person all night long - sleeping in bed is non-negotiable as far as Maverick is concerned. This cutie pie adores attention and will happily soak up all the pets, snuggles, and praise you can give. When Tiggy isn’t cuddling, you’ll find her prancing around, doing zoomies, or begging you to throw the ball — because fetch is life! She would love a home with another playful dog to romp around with and a fenced yard, though she’s also good with cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household. Tiggy has a sweet personality, walks fairly well on a leash, and already knows “sit.” She is currently learning other commands and is eager to please, especially if treats or praise are involved. Story
Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around!    Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!    Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly.     Edith is currently  living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans.
