Meet Kiwi — a gentle, loving soul who thrives on companionship. He’s happiest when he’s close to his person, whether it’s sitting quietly at your feet or snuggled in your lap for hours. Kiwi’s heart is full of affection, and he’s always eager to make you smile. As a young puppy, Kiwi bravely battled a severe case of parvo. He doesn’t always recognize or communicate when he needs to go outside, and sometimes he can’t hold it in time. He’s making progress as he grows, and with patience, consistency, and loving guidance, we’re convinced he’ll continue to improve even more. Kiwi’s sweetness, loyalty, and loving nature make every bit of extra care more than worthwhile. He will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and stretch his legs. His adoption fee of $375 includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. We’re located in the Colorado Springs area and require a home visit as part of the adoption process. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react.
