Story
This girl is ready for her new home ! She came in after being on the run for 3 weeks and finally trapped. Her coat had some kind of tar or tree sap all over and oh the fleas. She went into labor and delivered 2 premature, deceased pups, so we headed right to the vet. An x-ray showed 4 more pups. A c-section was performed and while we were able to get the 4 to breathe and come around they looked like the other 2 that had passed. Apparently, she was aborting the litter. 3 of the 4 passed within 24 hours. The lungs are last to mature and their little lungs just couldn't do the job. But...one little guy was giving it his all. He would nurse off of mom and be bottle fed and had to be kept in the incubator to keep his temp up. He was a little baldy when he was born, but that filled in pretty fast. And he made it and is now in a loving forever home. She has made great strides at getting used to house life and enjoys running around the fenced yard. She now wants affection and is developing a loving personality. Patsy is probably 3 yrs old and just under 20lbs. She needs a fenced yard, no exceptions, a home that is willing to let her settle in and probably no little kids would be best. She has never shown aggression, just more fear than anything. Patsy is current on all vetcare and has had a dental, along with 14 rotten teeth removed. She was just groomed and did wonderful. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Fill out an application @ http://www.saveamomrescue.com Be sure your vet is notified that we will call for a reference.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Biscuit's adoption donation is $375 and she is being fostered in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention. Biscuit also had a dental cleaning. Biscuit came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a sweet girl who has adapted well in rescue and would love to have a home of her own with her own people. Biscuit walks well on a leash and does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. Biscuit enjoys the company of other dogs and playtime as well. Biscuit's most favorite thing is walking. She loves to go for walks so can explore but she also loves to chillax in the sun. Her second favorite activity is going for rides in the car, she loves to look out the window. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  April 28, 2024, 6:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adora's adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in the Northern Ohio area.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, bordetella, dental cleaning, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention as well as flea prevention. Adora is a spunky girl and likes to think of herself as a diva!  Adora came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer keep her due to their ongoing health issues. Meeting Adora for the first time, she will be cautious. Once she is acclimated, she will be your best friend and shadow. Adora tends to be cautious when meeting new people and does some alert barking, but with a bit of patience and understanding, she settles comfortably. She loves to cuddle and thinks she is human sometimes. Adora will jump on any chair by a table so she doesn't miss out on any action (see pic as proof!). Adora gets along with other dogs, but is ok being an only dog. Adora walks well on a leash and enjoys her several walks a day, but she is also potty pad trained. She does not like to go/stay outside alone, but if you go out with her, she will stay with you the whole time! Due to her small, size a home with no children under the age of 12 is needed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Corrina’s adoption donation is $450 and she is being fostered in Eastern Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Corrina requires a home with a companion dog or an owner who is home a lot, as well as a secure, physically fenced yard. Corrina came into rescue as a breeder release from a puppy mill. She has made a lot of progress in rescue and she loves to play. She really enjoys the company of other dogs and her people. Corinna is definitely not your typical mill girl and has quite a bit of energy, so an active household with a companion dog of similar size and energy is needed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog.
