Yoda is a 7 1/2-year-old Shih Tzu weighing a fluffy 26 lbs. Yoda is on a diet and needs to lose 8 lbs. Yoda is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands (sit, stay, down). Yoda loves Doggy Daycare, and running around all day will help him lose the weight he needs to! He also loves all people!! The Mohawk photo was from a few years ago, his mom really loved him and always had him groomed. Sadly, she had health issues and could no longer get around well and that is when Yoda gained a lot of weight, his mom passed away in April, and poor Yoda was left behind. He was very special to her, and we will make sure Yoda gets a new wonderful home. If you are interested in Yoda, please submit an online application. so we can learn a little about you to make sure Yoda would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Meet Scooter! 🐾 Scooter spent his first years as a breeding dog. Today, he is fully vetted, safe, and searching for a permanent lap to call home. 📌 Quick FactsBreed/Size: Scooter is a black and white shitzu. 14 lbs of pure sweetness. Age: Original paperwork states 6 years old, but our vet estimates 8–10 years old. 💖 Health & Medical Needs: Scooter has a Grade IV heart murmur and mitral valve enlargement. He is not in congestive heart failure. Daily Care: He requires two lifelong daily medications: Enalapril and Vetmedin. Good News: He does not require Lasix (diuretics) right now. Future Care: We recommend veterinary checkups every 6 months to monitor his heart. 🏡 Behavior & House Training - Scooter is a gentle soul adjusting to life inside a home. Potty Habits: He appears to be pee-pad trained and is working on potty training. Personality: He is quiet, small, and eager for a peaceful retirement environment. He is dog friendly and would thrive with other confident dogs that can teach him how to "dog". Leash: Scooter is more like a potato 🥔 on a leash right now. He needs some practice 😊.
