Beautiful Niki - she loves to lay in the sunshine, patter around the house and then return to her soft bed. Does your home have a sunny spot, a love for sweet senior dogs and a gentle hand to pet this lady to her hearts content? Niki may be your girl. Niki is a 15 pound, 8 year old shih tzu mix; she does have glaucoma in one eye and cataracts in both for which is getting medication. Her eyesight is limited but she navigates around the house no problem and she will follow you around as well. She has good house manners, working on leash training, good with other dogs and will most likely be good around cats. With Niki’s limited vision, small children would have to monitored around her and a fenced yard would be best as she does like to roam and explore once she’s comfortable. Hi, I’m Suzie.I’m a very gentle, easygoing girl who’s just looking for a calm place to land and someone to love me. I’m almost blind, but that doesn’t slow me down much. If there’s a light on, I can find my way toward it, and if not, I happily explore the world by sniffing my way around. I’m quiet, peaceful, and completely harmless.I don’t bark at all—I don’t really have a voice—but I will softly whimper when I need to go outside. I’m fully housetrained and very well-mannered. I love my crate and see it as a cozy, safe place to relax. Most of my day is spent sleeping, resting, and enjoying a calm environment.I’m friendly with everyone I meet—men, women, and children of all ages—and I don’t react to other dogs, birds, or squirrels. I’m gentle at feeding time, take treats nicely, and never tear up toys or belongings. Outside, I’m content to sit quietly and watch the world go by.I don’t have many teeth left, just a few on the bottom, so I eat mostly canned food and do very well with it. I enjoy my meals and have no trouble eating. I don’t know tricks, don’t pull on a leash, and don’t need much excitement—just patience, kindness, and love.If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet companion who asks for very little and gives gentle affection in return, I might be the perfect match for you.
