Update: we have had Doggo over one year. We believe he is older than five, possibly closer to 10. He is on heartmeds pimobendan and lasix. He is an independent guy who loves to meander around a shady yard. His fee is waived to a responsible adopter. Doggo is a precious 18 lb, 5 year old shih tzu or lhasa apso. He is very docile in nature. He appears to be housetrained. Doggo was a stray who was never claimed. He is heartworm negative, neutered and has received a proheart 12 shot. He does have a heart murmur but requires no medication at this time. Skittles was owner surrendered To horn lake animal shelter. She is three y.o. and about 13 lbs They reached out to rescue because skittles was so afraid and was growling at everyone except one employee. She has been very good with me after her first 24 hours. I gave her a safe spot where she can get used to the rest of the household. She likes her kennel and will come in and out of it. She has seen both a groomer and been spayed without incident. She does take time to warm up to people so I think her ideal space would have no small children and limited other people In the home. Tucker is a three year old male shih tzu who weighs about 20 lbs. He is a sweet dog who is fairly independent. He tolerates other dogs but would be happy as an only dog. Tucker came from Memphis animal shelter two years ago. He was adopted briefly but his adopter was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Tucker came to us with bad allergies and bad skin. We have allergy tested him and given him a series of shots. He still sometimes gets cytopoint to help with itching. He does best with frequent medicated baths. He also has dry eye and takes prescription eye drops. We have no adoption fee for someone with an excellent vet reference who is willing to adopt Tucker knowing his needs. Mindy is a 7 year old 10 lb. Shih Tzu/yorkie mix. She was scared in the shelter and did not greet very well. She seems a lot more relaxed now that she is out of the shelter. Mindy is spayed and heartworm neg. She has some skin issues from fleas and will probably need eye drops. I’m hoping to continue to gain her trust so that she can accept the drops. She is getting a medicated bath and some itch relief for the skin. Rolo, a 4-year-old, 17-pound neutered male. He is a Shih Tzu mix. This crate-trained pup walks well on a leash and is ready for his forever home. With some patience and time to settle in, Rolo is expected to grow out of his flighty tendencies, but it's best to keep him on a leash during outings. As a confident alpha male, he thrives with female dogs. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations.  His local adoption fee is $300 for adoptions within the Memphis, TN tristate area.   Rolo’s out of state/not local to me Memphis, TN tristate area adoption fee is $600 and includes the transport to states like PA, CT, NJ, MD, & VA.
