Jett is a one year old Shih Tzu who weighs about 10 lbs. he and his brother Gage were pulled from Memphis animal shelter after being confiscated from an owner. Jett had a little bit of skin flakiness and received a cytopoint shot for that. He has a little cyst on his lower eyelid. He is heartworm negative and has had proheart. He hates to see the vet and becomes pretty aggressive if you have to do any procedures for him. He has been loving and cuddly to me except when I was drying him after a bath and I think i touched that spot on his eye. But he wants to sleep on my bed and is very much an affectionate little dog. Domino is a two year old Shih Tzu chihuahua mix who weighs 16 lbs. he was owner surrendered because he seemed to be having some nerve issues from a tail amputation. We have consulted a vet and he is now on gabapentin and is doing well. Domino is a shy type but has never offered to bite me during his stay here. He seems a bit nervous of the other dogs and would do better with maybe just one or two others. I’m still assessing house training cause he seems to have a urinary tract infection so we are treating that as well. Domino been neutered and had a dental with extraction of an impacted tooth . Ace is an approx 10year old either shih tzu or lhasa apso. He was found hanging out at the bike sculpture arch at Overton Park. His microchip was a dead end, he could not be connected to his original adopter but he came from Memphis Animal Shelter. ACe is a bit grumpy about getting a slip lead on but he LOVES to go for a walk and spend time outside. Im hoping as he gets more used to his environment I can easily get a harness on him so we can walk. He is a very quiet dog and is fine being in the same home with other dogs. Ace has a real issue with anything that needs to happen on his face or head. He has had an ear hematoma and we have to sedate him for the vet to check his ears and eyes.
