Domino is a two year old Shih Tzu chihuahua mix who weighs 20 lbs. he was owner surrendered because he seemed to be having some nerve issues from a tail amputation. We have consulted a vet and he is now on gabapentin and is doing well. Domino is a shy type but has never offered to bite me during his stay here. He seems a bit nervous of the other dogs and would do better with maybe just one or two others. Domino has been neutered and had a dental. He is heartworm negative. He does still have periods where he barks at and chases his tail. I think he would do very well as an only dog with someone who could take him for short walks and just get him used to doing normal dog things. Billie is a 7 lb, five mo. old female shih tzu mix. When we got this little puppy, she was in rough shape.One of her eyes was destroyed. We think she might have run into a sharp object. The rescue did everything possible to save her eye, including spending a couple of thousand on vet care. Alas, it was not possible, so the eye was eventually removed. Having one eye has not dampened her lively spirit. She runs, and jumps and adores trying to get the other dogs in her foster home to play with her. One of her favorite games is trying to run when you want to pick her up. However, when you get her, she loves snuggling, and especially sleeping in the big bed. Billie is a beautiful little girl, who looks like a stuffed animal, and when in public draws lots of admiring attention. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is making great advances on her housebreaking. Billie will make an ideal family pet. Her adoption fee is $500.
