Story
max is a darling, he is fully vetted , house trained, uses the dog door, he is very shy and deserves a home of his own, text me for an adoption application to be considered 830 237 8588✨ Special Adoption Opportunity – Small Chiweenie / Shih Tzu Mixes ✨ We have several of these sweet little rescue babies looking for very special adopters 💛 All of them are fully vetted, but they come from a very unique background. They spent their lives with one elderly owner (a truck driver) and had very limited interaction with the outside world. Because of this, many of them can be skittish and unsure around new people and environments. 🐾 What they’re used to: • Going in and out of a dog door • Sleeping in bed with their person • Living with other small dogs 🐾 What they need: • A patient, committed adopter who understands rescue dogs • A slow transition into their new home • Safe confinement at first (small room + wee wee pads) to build trust • Time to bond at their pace 🚫 These are NOT dogs that can be put straight into a backyard — they are flight risks and can easily get lost if scared. 💡 In my experience, they do BEST in homes that: • Already have another small, confident dog • Are willing to follow guidance and give them time to adjust • Understand that trust is earned, not forced The amazing news? ❤️ Several have already been successfully adopted by families who followed these steps — and they are now thriving in their new lives! These are what I lovingly call my “project babies” — they just need someone willing to give them a chance. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out and I’ll send over an adoption application 🐶💛

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 9/15/26. Sophie is a little firecracker. She is a burst of joy, energy, and pure affection. She loves to zoom around the yard and carries stuffed animals around whenever she gets a chance. But she also loves snuggling time and belly rubs and will happily curl up next to you. She adores her foster dad and thrives on human companionship. She will let you know when she wants attention, her little howls are the cutest! Sometimes, she will just stare at you with her cute little tongue sticking out, so adorable. Sophie came to us with heartworm infection and is finishing up her heartworm treatment. She is currently in a foster home with 2 boy dogs (Beagle and Maltese), and a cat. She has been getting along very well with the other dogs. When they are trying to be rude by being pushy or be in her bubble, she has been correcting them with a little growl (the cutest!!!), and the boys have respected it. She is ignoring the cat. Sophie is looking for a family who will include her in their daily activities and give her the love and affection she deserves. She will need regular professional grooming. If you are looking for a loving dog with a funny personality to brighten your days, Sophie is the girl for you. Sophie’s adoption fee of $450.00 includes her Vet exam, vaccinations, 4DX(heartworm and 3 tick tests), preventative, fecal test, wormer, heartworm treatment, grooming, spay and microchip.

Story
Meet Joey! 🐾❤️ Joey’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but we’re hoping the hardest part of his story is behind him and the best is still to come. Joey is one of five Shih Tzus rescued from a small town north of Austin after their family was suddenly deported. Everything happened so quickly that their family had no opportunity to make arrangements for their beloved pets. The dogs were left behind outside in the yard, where a caring neighbor did their best to provide food and water. Unfortunately, with triple-digit Texas temperatures, they simply weren’t safe and desperately needed rescue. It took a village to save this little family. Thanks to the combined efforts of Orphan Annie’s Neonatal Rescue, Victoria Turner, Mina Davis, and Mini Wonders Adoptions, all five Shih Tzus made it to safety. A foster was found for their sister, while Victoria and Mina helped transport the four boys to Mini Wonders Adoptions. Now Joey is safe, cared for, and ready for the most important part of his journey—finding his forever home! 🏡 Joey is about 2 years old and is Donny’s brother. Although the boys grew up together, brotherly love only goes so far! Joey and Donny weren’t always the best of friends and occasionally got into scuffles, so we believe they will both be much happier finding separate homes where they can each receive the individual love and attention they deserve. Joey does well with other dogs, but he tends to be more comfortable with female dogs or males who have been neutered for some time. He enjoys people and is ready to discover what life is like when he has a family of his very own. Joey has already experienced more uncertainty than any little dog should. What he needs now is someone willing to give him a chance—a person who will offer him patience, security, understanding, and plenty of love. Joey can’t change his past, but the right family can completely change his future. ❤️ If you’re ready to show Joey that being part of a family means being loved, protected, and never left behind, Mini Wonders Adoptions would love to hear from you! 🐾

Story
Meet Jonathan! Jonathan is one of a group of Shih Tzu's whose lives were suddenly turned upside down when their family was deported and they were left behind. With no one to care for them, the dogs were living outside in dangerous triple-digit temperatures. Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor stepped in and did everything possible to keep them safe while waiting for rescue. Through the combined efforts of Orphan Annies Neonatal Rescue, Victoria Turner, and our rescue community, Jonathan and the rest of his family were finally brought to safety. Victoria generously donated her time and energy to transport these precious pups from north of Austin all the way to San Antonio so they could have the opportunity for a better life. Now Jonathan is ready to be loved for the wonderful little dog he is—not simply one of a pack living outside, but a cherished member of his very own family. Jonathan is approximately 7 months old and weighs about 14 pounds. He is an incredibly sweet boy who loves everyone he meets and is always happy to soak up attention and affection. Jonathan is house trained, although he may have an occasional setback while adjusting to a new environment and routine. Considering everything he has been through at such a young age, he simply needs a family willing to give him a little patience, consistency, and plenty of love. This special boy has already experienced enough uncertainty. Its time for Jonathan to discover what it means to have a safe home, a soft bed, lots of snuggles, and a family who will never leave him behind. If youre ready to welcome a 14-pound little love bug into your heart and home, Jonathan may be your perfect match!

Donny previously lived with his brother, but the two older boys weren’t always the best of friends and occasionally got into scuffles. Donny’s story may have started with uncertainty, but we know his future can be filled with safety, happiness, and so much love. 🐾❤️ If you think you could be the one to give Donny his happily-ever-after, Mini Wonders Adoptions would love to hear from you!
