Percy is a 2-3 yr old Shihtzu mix weighing 15 lbs. He is from the Pearsall shelter and came to our rescue completely neglected. He is a good boy and loves to sit on his hind legs and give prayers in his crate. haha. He gets along with everyone in his group, especially the ladies. Percy is heartworm negative and Chagas positive but don't let that deter you. With treatment, Chagas is fully curable, and dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Tracy’s Paws is one of the first rescues to test every dog for Chagas, and we’ve had measurable success with our treatment protocol. We are also committed to educating adopters and the public about Chagas so even more dogs can be helped. Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip
