Hi, I’m Honey, a 4-year-old purebred Yorkshire Terrier weighing just 5 lbs. I spent much of my life being over-bred, but despite everything, I’ve remained a gentle, quiet little soul with so much love to give. 💛 I’m on the shy side and a bit introverted, but I’m also patient, resilient, and very sweet once I feel safe. I enjoy calm environments, tasty treats (I’m definitely food-motivated!), and the company of other gentle dogs and cats. I’m not demanding—I’m happiest simply being near my person, soaking in peace and kindness. I’m fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, and ready to start the next chapter of my life. Because of my past and my tiny size, I need an experienced adopter who understands toy breeds and will give me the time and reassurance I need to blossom. If you’re looking to offer a quiet home, a soft lap, and a lifetime of love to a little survivor, I promise to be as sweet as my name. 🍯🐶💖 Serious Adopters from Southern Lee County and Collier County only. We are a volunteer organization.

Story
We have had little (10lbs) Buddy since he was a puppy, he is now 10 1/2 years old. We have downsized, and are traveling a lot, so we feel, Buddy would be happier in a home where he didn’t have to go into boarding so much due to travel. Buddy likes to sleep, likes his walks, although when he’s on a leash, he is not friendly to other dogs. When off the leash he’s totally fine. He is potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. Buddy is a small male dog, and they are at risk for marking. Buddy is amazing with our baby and toddler grandkids - he gets very excited when they visit and is very sweet with them. He would do best in a home where he can snuggle on the lap of his owner in the morning and at night.

He is GREAT with other dogs, crate and house trained and is playful and sweet and lots of fun! He LOVES his foster friends and enjoys playtime in the yard and listens very well.
