Story
Mrs. Fluff is a delicate little one-year-old, Deerhead mix Chihuahua weighing just 8 pounds, and who is searching for a calm, nurturing home where patience and love come first. While she is undeniably beautiful on the outside, her heart is still healing from a difficult beginning. Mrs. Fluff came from a home that just could not take care of her. After one month in foster care, she has made truly remarkable progress and continues to blossom every day. In her foster home, Princess Fluff has learned that laps are safe, cuddles are wonderful, and gentle voices bring comfort. She seeks affection and enjoys being close to her people once she feels secure. Inside the home she is relaxed, playful in her own quiet way, and her sweet personality is beginning to shine through. She is still building confidence outdoors and leash walks in a fenced yard will prove to be a big confidence booster for her. Mrs. Fluff would thrive in a home where her people can continue this positive exposure at her pace. Car rides and neighborhood strolls are goals we know she will enjoy as she gains confidence. Mrs. Fluff would do best in a peaceful home with plenty of time and attention devoted to her. She may do well with one other calm, confident dog, but she truly wants to be someone’s special girl. Children in the home should be over the age of 10 and able to respect her gentle nature. She is crate trained and making steady progress with house training. We are being honest in saying that Mrs. Fluff still has some shyness to overcome — but she is absolutely worth the patience and love it takes to help her fully bloom.       If you believe you could be the safe place she’s been waiting for, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.    February 1, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
He was acquired seven years ago from a family member who was moving into a home that didnt allow pets. I took him in openly and loved him along with my wife and son at the time and now my younger daughter. He's a house dog who loves to go on walks daily and like attention. He has all his shots and is house broken.

Story
Our dog Rico is a loving 13 year old chihuahua mix, who loves to snuggle up all day. Unfortunately, after 10 years, we are in a situation where we need to rehome him. We now have a two year old and a small baby, and have sadly learned that Rico is not good with little kids, especially hyper active toddlers. Rico is great with older kids and adults, but the wildness of a toddler running around has unfortunately been too hard of an adjustment for him. He loves to spend most of his days curled up on the couch, cuddling with you, or simply potatoing in his bed. He is house trained, and rarely ever has any accidents inside the home. Rico is not good with cats. We do have one, and while they get along 90% of the time, he is always on edge around our cat. He would thrive in a home with no children or cats. He does not need too much activity, but is always up for a long walk, and still has endless energy.
