Story
This precious little girl was found in a extremely dangerous situation. I had seen a post about a dog running on the side of a busy four lane. In the pics I thought that she looked like a medium sized pup, maybe 30 lb. Regardless of her size, she needed help & she needed it fast. I had a quick conversation with the man above and said ,"If you need my help, you need to let me spot her on way to town today". Sure enough there she was, I spotted her immediately. This baby was so tiny and very pregnant. For several days I worked on building our relationship. I had learned her routine and found her safe place where I fed her daily. The following morning I set a trap and crossed my fingers and toes. Against all odds ,I got her within an hour & this little girl was exhausted and appeared so relieved. A few weeks later on Easter eve, CoCo Bunny gave birth to four adorable little nuggets "the bunny boys". She is such a special soul, excellent mommy and though she is learning to trust, she will LOVE you like you hung the moon. Her only quirk is that she wants to be with you 24/7. I personally think its because she doesn't want to be left behind ever again. I'm not going to label her "special needs" because her needs are really basic. It's about finding her person, that one needle in the haystack that loves as intensely as Coco does and will give her the attention that she deserves & craves.

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Sadie   Adoption fee:  $600.00   Update: Sadie had liver shunt surgery at the University of Tennessee Wed., Nov. 19th. We were fortunate that Dr. Karen Tobias performed the surgery. And Sadie did great! She just had her 2 week check up and passed with flying colors. Plus she's up to 8 pounds now! She's full of vinegar and ready for a wonderful, normal life! A devoted family of her own would make this Christmas - her first Christmas - her best! Just remember-Because Sadie is so young, we must invoke our Seniors for Seniors policy: applicants 70 and older will not be considered for dogs 7 and under. We encourage these applicants to look at our seniors who still have a lot of love to give. Seniors for seniors, it's a natural match up!     Sadie is  blur of activity! At 6 months old, this Shiz Tzu/Poodle mix is still learning house manners. She's around 6 pounds now and loves to cuddle, play with other dogs and chew on fingers. Paper too...got a paper shredder here! She's a loving baby and knows no strangers. She tends to come when called so I think she recognizes her name. This little ink spot is just too cute for words!   Sadie was born with a liver shunt. She's scheduled for surgery Nov. 18th at the University of Tennessee vet school. This surgery will be in excess of $4000.00. We will reserve Sadie and waive her fee for anyone who will contribute a major portion or all of her surgical expenses as long as they meet our adoption criteria.    Because Sadie is so young, we must invoke our Seniors for Seniors policy: applicants 70 and older will not be considered for dogs 7 and under. We encourage these applicants to look at our seniors who still have a lot of love to give. Seniors for seniors, it's a natural match up!    Adoption fee: $600.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.  To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.  NOTE: SCMR does not adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences.
