This cutie is Turkey Thanksgiving. She is currently 5 months old and weighs approximately 7 pounds. We think they may be a Chihuahua, Cattle dog mix* Turkey is currently living in a foster home with 2 other small dogs and is doing amazing! She loves to play, but also knows when to chill out and relax. She loves chasing after a toy, and fetching that toy. She’s also learning how to walk on a leash and going on walks with her foster family! She is the most cuddly pup ever though when she’s ready for snuggles! Turkey is in a foster home, so she is learning how to be the best pup ever! She is working on crate training, as well as potty training, but she is getting better day by day! Fancy is a 2-year-old Chihuahua–Terrier mix with a heart as big as her adorable underbite. She’s a super sweet, cuddly girl who absolutely loves being held and snuggling up in your lap. If you’re looking for a true couch companion, Fancy is your girl. She’s currently thriving in a foster home with high-energy kids and does wonderfully with them—she loves children, enjoys sleeping with them, and happily joins them at bedtime. Fancy has also lived in a home with large dogs and gets along great, and she would do well with other small dogs too. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there!
