Story
5/10/23 birthday Barrett rescued as a small kitten. Has been in foster care and for adoption since a kitten. Hi! My name is Barrett. My foster family calls me Care Bear because I am so sweet and cuddly. I appreciate the little things in life, like amazon boxes and laundry baskets to sit and play in. I am playful but I never play too rough. I am a great companion for families with children, other kitties, and dogs.

Story
Hi there! I'm Hot Tamale. I'm a very handsome cat but I'm pretty nervous around people. I would make an excellent barn cat! If you think you've got the right home for me, please submit an adoption survey at chicoanimalshelter.orgThis animal is at the City of Chico Animal Shelter. For information about adopting, please visit: http://www.chicoanimalshelter.org/adoptable-animals.html

Story
Thank you so much for looking into Wags and Whiskers for the newest addition to your family. At Wags and Whiskers, we do not discriminate against any animal based on their age, current health, or pre-existing medical condition(s). We are a dedicated team of volunteers, with a strong passion for animals and a very special bond with the injured, abused and abandoned. Due to the fact that we work so closely with qualified veterinarians, we are able, and willing, to take on the most complex medical cases to help give them the chance, that ever animal deserves, at a full, happy and healthy life. Our primary goal is giving hope to the hopeless; your adoption helps make a difference. All of our cats are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home. Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each cat. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left in a box on the side of a road, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt. If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment. If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.October 19, 2024, 11:12 pm

1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). Double Trouble Duo- oops I mean two peas in a pod- Leo & Meow Meow are the life of the party! These brothers have places to go & things to do so come along for an adventure! Wrestling with each other is their favorite thing to do. Oh and toys! Lots of toys! Make sure your paycheck has a toy allowance LOL! After the zoomies wear off, then it's time to snuggle or pass out in the sunshine spot of the house. But don't expect that before playtime LOL! These boys are sure to bring plenty of love, laughter and action to your life so apply now! They are approx 12 weeks old, fully vetted for their age, neutered, microchipped, litterbox trained, etc. They would do well in a quiet- moderately active home. They have not been exposed to dogs or children. They must be adopted together & the adoption fee is $200 each to cover a portion of their veterinary/food/litter expenses. If you would like to donate more we would be happy to accept. Get your adoption application in ASAP- we know they will go fast! ________________________________________________________ ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***FOOD: Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! ADOPTION FEES: See website- https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _______________________________________________________________ ****APPLICATION:**** For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. You can fill out electronically or print out and take a picture of the application & send it via email, whichever is easiest for you. https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process
