All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn’t an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we’re renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment then you are the type of adopter we are looking for. This gorgeous girl is ready to become your very best friend. Sasha's journey hasn't been an easy one. She was found living on the streets as a young kitten herself severely underweight and caring for five premature babies. Sadly, she was unable to care for her kittens on her own, but with the help of Itsie Bitsie rescue bottle feeding them around the clock, one of her babies, Hank, survived and is now almost ready for adoption as well. Sasha is a gentle, sweet soul who takes a little time to trust new people. She will thrive in a patient home willing to let her settle in at her own pace. Since coming into foster care, she has made wonderful progress. Once she feels safe, she'll come over for pets, make biscuits, and even drool a little when she's especially happy and content. Watching her blossom has been incredibly rewarding, and she is sure to form a deep bond with the person who earns her trust. Sasha has not had direct experience with other cats or dogs in foster care, but because of her sweet temperament, we believe she may do well with a calm, friendly, and mellow feline companion. She loves playing with toy balls and wand toys. A quick writeup from adopters: LatteV, renamed Lila (because she is a Lilac Point Siamese per her adopters), is stunningly beautiful as well as being a sweet girl. She makes biscuits and purrs while cuddling. She will cuddle on your lap as long as it's quiet - she doesn't like loud noises. She is more of a daddy's girl than a mama's girl. She's living with 2 other kitties and a Jack Russell but wouldn't mind being an only as she is a bit of a loner. She eats wet and dry food and is strictly indoors only. Her writeup when she was a kitten: LatteV, born approximately 7/4/24, loves to be petted and brushed and purrs so loudly when she is petted. She is loving and playful and likes to sit on laps for pets or to be brushed and will fall asleep on your lap. Used to small, respectful, older dogs.
