Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Dr. Pepper! This gorgeous 2-year old Siamese boy has the most striking blue eyes! And he's got an awesome personality to go along with his good looks. He is extremely friendly and affectionate and will follow you around, chatting with you and asking for pets and love. He is currently being fostered with several other cats and kittens and he gets along with them very well, but does get jealous if they try to steal the attention! He has main character vibes and likes to be in the spotlight! Like a true Siamese, he is very vocal! He is a lap cat who loves to snuggle and will happily accept cuddles for as long as possible!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $300 Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 10, 2026, 9:35 pm

Story
Sparrow was living outside of someone's townhouse with her 4 four week old kittens and a 6-month-old kitten from her previous litter. Apparently the person that rented the townhouse previously just left her behind when they moved away. The new tenant was being told that she could not have the cats out there and she didn't know what to do, so she contacted us. We went and got all but three of the kittens (because someone else had went and grabbed them before we got there) and brought them inside. Mom then the older kitten Charlie, have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and are negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. Sparrow has been a great mom and is nice but is still a little unsure of people after being abandoned like she was the poor thing. She will need a little TLC to feel comfortable and yet another new place.

Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
We'll also keep you updated on Scully (Bonded with Mulder)'s adoption status with email updates.
