Pearl found herself homeless and looking for a meal wherever she could find it. When she found a yard with a bird feeder she figured maybe she'd try her luck at catching something. That didn't work. So she found a nice person that was willing to give her some food. Once, when this person was putting her food down, they reached out to pet her like they had done numerous times before. This time though, Pearl hadn't been paying attention and the hand coming at her scared her. Pearl reacted by swatting at the hand, and ended up leaving a small scratch on the person's hand. She didn't bite, she wasn't nasty, just reacted and happened to make contact with one toe. So we were contacted and picked Pearl up for the required 10 day hold period for any animal involved in a scratch that broke skin. Now that the hold time has expired, Pearl is ready to turn the page and move forward in her life. She is a sweet cat, but like many cats she has a limit to how much attention she wants at any given time. When she wants attention she will come to you and headbutt you, when she doesn't want her humans fawning on her she simply walks away. So she's not a snuggly cat who will lay in your arms for hours, but she does like affection from her family. Lilac – Asthmatic - Traditional Siamese Mix Lilac is affectionate and stunningly beautiful with thick, soft fur and blue eyes. She loves being brushed and petted. We have no idea how she became homeless, but she was living outside in a feral cat colony in Norristown PA. At the shelter, her breathing appeared labored. A veterinary exam with x-rays diagnosed asthma. She’s been closely observed in her foster home. Once she settled in, she no longer requires asthma medication. We haven’t determined what exacerbates her asthma. She tolerates, but doesn’t interact with, other cats. Unknown how she’d be with a dog. She needs a stable home life. Speedy was pulled from a local shelter where he was extremely stressed and beginning to decline. Since settling into foster care, he’s shown himself to be a quirky, affectionate cat who thrives on comfort and routine.He seems to do well with cats and dogs, but would likely do best in a quieter home with fewer pets and less commotion. He can be shy in new environments and becomes overstimulated easily when nervous or stressed, so he needs an adopter who will respect his boundaries and allow him time to settle in at his own pace.Speedy has pendular nystagmus, a condition commonly seen in Siamese cats that causes his eyes to move back and forth. It does not require treatment, though it may make him more sensitive to visual stimulation and sudden environmental changes.He loves lounging on his heating pad, bird watching from the window, chasing feather wands and laser pointers, and hunting the occasional fly around the office. He’s very food motivated and especially loves wet food and Delectables squeeze tube treats.While he enjoys long naps, he still has playful bursts of energy and can get intensely focused during playtime. He’s also incredibly tidy, meticulous about grooming, and very neat with his litter box habits.Every now and then, Speedy will let out a long, dramatic little meow when he wants attention, but otherwise he’s a fairly quiet companion who enjoys a calm environment and predictable routine.

He'll wait for you at the door before you walk in and rub his head against your legs for attention. He's not aggressive, but he'll let you know when he's had enough with a little love bite. He enjoys head and chin scratches, though his belly and paws are sensitive. Humphrey is also a professional biscuit maker, kneading any soft surface he finds, and once he's comfortable with you, he'll curl up beside you and make bread right on your lap. Humphrey chatters like any good Siamese cat. He doesn't respond to his name, but he'll turn his head at the sound of "pspsps." He gets especially talkative around food, so watch your plate: he's known to snatch a bite or get a little handsy with his paws. Humphrey has the looks, but he needs an experienced cat owner. He likes to be in charge and can get anxious or reactive when things don't go his way. He has a history of urinary crystal blockages, though he hasn't had an episode recently. He's a cat who plays by his own rules and has been stressed around other pets: not every cat/dog tolerates his anxious, sometimes challenging temperament. He hasn't been around children, but he'd likely thrive in a household with active, respectful kids as the only cat.
