Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
This kitten has just arrived! They have come to us on transport from a shelter partner, were found as stray, or surrendered to our care. When kittens arrive to us we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, how they are with handling, or how much socialization with humans/animals they have received. Kittens require a significant amount of patience and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a kitten is a critical time to improve socialization and help your kitten become confident. Exposing your kitten to all kinds of touch, sounds, people, and animals can ensure a well-socialized adult cat. Remember, kittens aren’t born knowing how to live in a human’s world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sparrow was living outside of someone's townhouse with her 4 four week old kittens and a 6-month-old kitten from her previous litter. Apparently the person that rented the townhouse previously just left her behind when they moved away. The new tenant was being told that she could not have the cats out there and she didn't know what to do, so she contacted us. We went and got all but three of the kittens (because someone else had went and grabbed them before we got there) and brought them inside. Mom then the older kitten Charlie, have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and are negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. Sparrow has been a great mom and is nice but is still a little unsure of people after being abandoned like she was the poor thing. She will need a little TLC to feel comfortable and yet another new place.

Good with kids, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Hope was found on a house call by police officers, her owner had passed away. After staying with a few fosters, my parents took Hope in and have had her for about 7 years. She is around 12 years old. My parents are moving into senior care which does not allow pets. Hope is an indoor/outdoor cat - they tried to keep her indoors, but she kept finding ways to get out and explore! She will scratch at windows and doors until she is let out, so new owner should be comfortable with letting her out, but don't worry she always comes back! It would be ideal if her new owner lived in a safe neighborhood where she could roam around as she pleases. She is very friendly to neighbors and even civil with other neighbor cats. Hope LOVES to cuddle up on your lap or sit on your legs for hours. She also loves her treats, and she does better on a kidney-friendly diet. Hope is litter-trained, but does tend to have accidents outside of the litter box if it is not cleaned regularly. Hope is the sweetest girl.
