We would like to introduce the handsome Chaney. This beautiful boy is just a year old and was trapped outside earlier this year. He had a bad case of pillow foot and was doing well. He wasn’t sure if he liked people, but was not healthy enough to put back outside. He also needed months of medication to heal his foot. Chaney took his medicine and one day decided he likes people. That like turned to love and he’s an absolutely loveable boy now. You can carry him around like a baby and he won’t complain! Chaney’s pillow foot has healed up, but he has extreme weakness in that leg. The leg seems to collapse when he walks, but he can jump and climb and run just fine. Last week, Chaney was struggling to pee and it turns out he was blocked. His foster rushed him to the emergency vet and they were thankfully able to unblock him without surgery. He has to eat canned urinary food now. At his follow up appointment, it was also discovered that Chaney is diabetic 😭 This guy can’t catch a break! He is on twice daily insulin now and gets that after he eats his two daily meals of canned urinary food. To say Chaney is an investment cat might be an understatement - but he is so worth it 😻🥹 This poor cat never would have made it outside and deserves to be healthy, loved, and safe inside.

He arrived at H.A.L.O. as a tiny stray suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection. Both of his little eyes had ruptured, he was anemic, and he was in heartbreaking condition. It was hard to imagine this little guy pulling through—but Buck had other plans.Thanks to the dedicated care of the H.A.L.O. team and Buck’s incredible will to fight, he’s made an amazing recovery. We expected he might lose one or even both eyes, but after seeing a specialist, we learned he has even regained some vision in his more severely affected eye!Buck’s future family should be prepared to keep eye medication on hand and understand that he may need additional treatment down the road, but right now he’s feeling great and ready to enjoy kitten life.And his personality? It’s every bit as wonderful as his comeback story. Buck is playful, affectionate, and full of determination. This sweet little survivor has a heart as big as his courage, and he’s ready to find a family to love him forever. Introducing Jen & Tom! 💜Some duos are siblings, some are soulmates, and some are simply best friends. Jen and Tom fall into that last category. We can't say for sure if there's romance brewing between these bonded buddies, but one thing is certain—they make an adorable team. At about 6 and 3 years old, they're ready to find a forever home together.Jen is a total heart-melter. I mean...come on—a gorgeous Chocolate Point beauty? She's as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside. This affectionate girl adores her people, happily curling up in your lap for as long as you'll let her. She's also quite the conversationalist, always ready to tell you about her day or offer commentary on yours.Tom takes a little longer to decide you're one of the good humans, but once he does, you'll discover what a sweet, goofy guy he really is. He prefers to come to you on his own terms, especially if he's busy investigating something important, but when he's ready for affection, he's perfectly happy to soak it up. He's an absolute fiend for treats, goes wild for catnip, and loves toys of every kind. He'll race around the house, wrestle with Jen (who usually responds with an amused "whatever"), and has even been known to play fetch...well, at least once.
