Story
We would like to introduce the handsome Chaney. This beautiful boy is just a year old and was trapped outside earlier this year. He had a bad case of pillow foot and was doing well. He wasn’t sure if he liked people, but was not healthy enough to put back outside. He also needed months of medication to heal his foot. Chaney took his medicine and one day decided he likes people. That like turned to love and he’s an absolutely loveable boy now. You can carry him around like a baby and he won’t complain! Chaney’s pillow foot has healed up, but he has extreme weakness in that leg. The leg seems to collapse when he walks, but he can jump and climb and run just fine. Last week, Chaney was struggling to pee and it turns out he was blocked. His foster rushed him to the emergency vet and they were thankfully able to unblock him without surgery. He has to eat canned urinary food now. At his follow up appointment, it was also discovered that Chaney is diabetic 😭 This guy can’t catch a break! He is on twice daily insulin now and gets that after he eats his two daily meals of canned urinary food. To say Chaney is an investment cat might be an understatement - but he is so worth it 😻🥹 This poor cat never would have made it outside and deserves to be healthy, loved, and safe inside.

Story
he has a special needs condition that we’ve been trying to manage but we're at the point where we know it's time to give up because we just can't provide the kind of care and time he truly needs to have a good quality of life. After talking to several vets his diagnosis seems to be a congenital birth defect He has little to no tone in his anal sphincter, resulting in fecal incontinence and his inability to use the litter box consistently. He requires anywhere between 2-4 oral medications every 8 hours which fluctuates depending on how well his condition is doing. Due to his hygiene needs and tendency to Due to his hygiene needs and tendency to groom excessively, he requires consistent supervision or must wear a cone. Our vet has advised that any damage and/or infection to his inner sphincter could be fatal for him which is why the cone is required while unsupervised. He is a very very sweet kitty who loves people and attention but simply needs more care than a typical family can give.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gino! Gino was rescued from the streets in a parking lot. He was in rough condition with upper respiratory, double ear infections, diarrhea and fleas. Gino still has a few sniffles we are trying to figure out (allergies?) but otherwise has made a full recovery and doing well!! Gino has a sweet disposition. He is friendly and outgoing with a little mischief! Gino gets along with other cats and doesn't hate the dog in the foster home. Gino is neutered (cryptorchid), microchipped, felv/fiv tested negative, up to date on vaccines and deworming.
