Meet Mitzey From the moment we met Mitzey, she had all of our hearts. Mitzey is a Flame Point Siamese mix with blue eyes, beautiful apricot markings and a super soft striped tail. We have no way of knowing if Mitzey is a purebred Siamese but she definitely has the coloring, coat and even the slightly crossed eyes that can be typical of the breed. Mitzey has had a tough time of it. This beautiful kitty was found as a kitten with burned paws. After healing, she was adopted but was returned because she has chronic colitis, which can become acute under stress. Once returned to the safety of our shelter, we worked very hard to help her settle in. Mitzey is on a special food that she eats in the morning and night. With her new diet, Mitzey’s colitis is under control and she enjoys playing and hanging out in our community cat room. This striking beauty loves attention and is such a snuggler. She's actually very hard to photograph because when she sees anyone she just wants to come in for head butts and rubs. She is cat friendly and very sociable. She is ready to find her forever person/family. Mitzey is about a year old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Mitzey will have to be patient and mindful of Mitzey’s stress levels. Stress can cause a colitis flare and until she understands she is safe and loved she could feel anxious. Once she is settled in, she will need to keep her special diet at least twice a day to keep her healthy and happy, but any other cats in the home can eat the same food Mitzey eats, making feeding time easier. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Oliver has a pending new owner but please consider his three litter mates who need homes SOON.Oliver is 9 weeks old and was one of four in a litter which was born shortly after its mother was rescued from under Hurricane Shoals historic bridge. He is a lavender color point (Siamese), which means he has the coloring of a Siamese, but is not pure bred. He and his mother had a recessive gene for Siamese. Oliver is especially intelligent, calmer and very intelligent. He likes to be loved, held. I can already tell that he will become an incredibly rewarding pet and loyal companion. He has been well- taken care of, litter trained, and flea- treated. It’s time for him to find a forever home where he can grow into the beautiful cat he promises to be.The other kittens pictured are also available, and I will be glad to discuss each one individually, too.

Juliette is a sweet senior female cat, approximately 14–16 years old, located in the Alpharetta area.For the past 10 years, she has lived with my mother as the only pet in a quiet home with no children. Unfortunately, due to changing circumstances, that living arrangement is no longer possible.Juliette is an indoor-only cat who is very talkative, affectionate, and enjoys companionship once she becomes comfortable in her environment. She thrives in a calm, low-stress home and would be an excellent companion for someone looking for a relaxed, gentle cat rather than a highly energetic one.She is litter box trained, eats and drinks normally, and is spayed. Her medical records are up to date.I am urgently trying to find a loving home for Juliette, as all the foster, rescues around me are full.I need to rehome her by the end of July, as I am leaving the country for a month.Thank you

Lola is a sweet girl who enjoys being with her human. She is not a fan of other animals, except for her sister Eloise. She loves to talk and give head butts. Lola is searching for a quiet home with no children.

I’ve had Aspen since she was 3.5 months old after she was found in a retail shopping center. Aspen is now 3yrs old and she is a seal point Siamese with a tan/brown body, blue eyes, darker face, all of her paws has white mittens. Aspen is about 11lbs, spayed, up-to-date with all her shots, house trained, litter trained, loves attention/affection but she also loves her own time as well. She is great with people. She can be around other cats and dogs once she’s introduced to them properly with supervision. She is easily groomed because I have been picking her up, cutting her nails, brushing her and doing all her grooming needs since she was a baby kitten. Aspen is very smart and adapts to new environment easily, she is a curious cat but she has not destroyed any furniture or house items. Aspen knows come, sit, spin commands and is very food/treat motivated. I love Aspen dearly but I am moving internationally and unable to take her with me. She will come with ALL of her supplies.

Autumn is a clever and affectionate 3 year old cat. She has been left on our doorstep by mama cat since she was a kitten and we have been taking care of her since. She is spayed and her ear is trimmed. We have grown very fond of her but would like for her to find a loving home because she is very affectionate and we just cannot give her the attention she needs. She has been around dogs and cats since birth. She has also taught herself to use the dog door and occasionally pops inside our house. She is however scared to be left inside without an exit and will need to be kept inside for a few months to get used to a new environment. We unfortunately cannot keep her because our cat doesn't get along with other cats. I am not 100% certain on her breed, it is just my guesstimate from research. I am more than happy to answer any questions.
