Rutilda was given from a friend of mine so i took her in to take care of her as much as i could. I can’t afford much for her plus im also moving away and i want a better life for her. Shes 1 year and a half, shes very active and loves jumping around and climbing stuff. She doesn’t like to be hold nor does she like when people pick her up. I just want a better home for her.

Story
Mello is a very sweet, affectionate 2 year old male cat. He loves cuddles and food. He is very sweet and playful with my other cat. He does have asthma and needs a more spacious home to allow for a large, open litter box. Does not use an inhaler but is good at taking his medicine to manage the asthma. Looking to rehome because my landlord updated the pet policy and we have too many animals.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. It's quite obvious that Icelynn is a looker. She's strikingly beautiful. But what you can't see in her picture is that this little girl is an affection hog. She actually drools when getting a pet scritching session in and will continue to nudge her head in your hand to say keep it going. She's also a master kisser and will constantly give you licks to say thanks for the scritches. When introduced into a new environment, Icelynn is shy at first so she will need a short period of time to get adjusted to her new surroundings with an understanding and patient adopter(s). However, once she feels comfortable at home, Icelynn's affectionate and playful personality starts to shine and come through. She enjoys a good cuddle session with her person(s), just like her sister. Actually, she will push her sister out of the way so she can get all the lovings! Icelynn is extremely bonded with her sister Winde, and therefore, they must be adopted together, no exceptions.    Winde & Icelynn are lap cat pros. They enjoy game night every night and are super keen to try out all the latest up and coming cat gadgets out there. They work part time as under the covers inspectors, although Icelynn seems to fall asleep on the job a lot so if you see a bump under the covers, we can pretty much assure you it's her. But that's okay though, we think its cute.   These two bonded sisters are a total delight. These happy-go-lucky girls are ready to move into your home and your heart. If you're interested in learning more about how you can Foster to Adopt them, please fill out an adoption application today.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 23, 2024, 12:23 am

Story
Ghost is a Siamese mix and has the most beautiful blue eyes in the world. He is quite the independent kitten. He loves to play, especially with the ball and bell toy, and will wrestle with his siblings. He acts like the older brother of the group and is usually the one who is okay with being put to sleep for the night. He may not be a lap kitty, but his happy to sleep next to you on the couch or on the floor. He is a bit more shy than his siblings but does not have any problem meeting new people or kitties. His favorite place to sleep is a little glass bowl that holds his foster mom's napkins. Ghost's mom, Rena was found fending for herself. She was acquired by a landlord with the intention of putting her to work on rodent patrol. This person didn't believe she needed to be fed, so left her to fend for herself. She then wasn't spayed and ended up having her kittens, When Chicago Cat Rescue found her, a kind resident was feeding her and had given her a covered box to be out of the wind when she had her babies. CCR rescued the family when the kittens were just days old. **We plan to place Ghost in a forever home with his brother, Puff, and his mother, Rena. We know that threesomes are tougher to place, but we think if you saw Ghost with his mom, you’d understand why we’re trying to keep them together in a forever home. We also want the 2 kittens to have playmates in each other.** If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please. CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home. At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone. Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home. Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!

Story
Hi, I'm Walter! My foster mom adores me and would like to tell you all about me!"Walter is a distinguished gentleman who will astound you with his bravery and his ability to make friends with everyone he meets. As a 9-month-old BLIND kitten, Walter has never met a stranger and takes it upon himself to welcome all newcomers. The most common response people have when meeting Walter is "I think he can still see." But, as he has had his eyes removed, we don't think he's faking it!Walter is best friends with his 100lb pit bull foster brother, and even managed to befriend his foster sister Dolores - perhaps they felt a kindred bond as they are both blind kitties! This strikingly handsome Lilac Point boy will quickly win your heart with his playful antics and desire to be close to his people at all times. He is very happy to be toted around by the three little kids in his foster home and is sure to NEVER miss a meal. His favorite pastimes include:· eating· doubling back to check his bowl for any scraps he might have missed· convincing you he needs more treats· checking the sink to see if there are any remnants of your dinner to be hadWalter will need a family that can provide easy access to multiple litter boxes. Because he is blind, a litter box that is hidden away has been a struggle for him to deal with." If you would like to make Walt a part of your family, please fill out an adoption application today!
