Story
Juno is a siamese cat that was rescued from a local hoarding situation. She came to AHF pregnant. Due to Juno’s young age, she miscarried. Even though she lost her kittens, Juno bonded with cutie, Tortellini. They love to play, run around the house, and cuddle together on chairs, couches, and pillows. The kitties just want to be in whatever room their humans are in, but they are still gaining confidence with being held or carried. They do enjoy being pet and being played with using feather and ribbon toys. These kitties are territorial, so they need to be the only cats in a home. They do get along with a calm dog. This curious, playful, and sweet pair deserves the chance to find a loving family to foster or adopt them, so they can see what real love is. AHF is looking for someone who is patient and cat-experienced to take in these beautiful cats.Juno is bonded to Tortellini and they must be adopted together. Story
Parmesan is a gorgeous Siamese kitten and the most curious kitten of her litter. She likes other cats and is brave with her greetings of new cats. She’s very playful, so a home that will play with her and provide her with many toys is a must. She rarely meows, so if you like quite kitties, Parmesan is your girl! She loves snoozing in her strawberry cave during the day or on a soft blanket. Parmesan can be elusive when she reaches top speed while playing with her siblings or chasing her toys. She has a silky cream coat with silver points and beautiful blue eyes. Her hair is medium length with charming gray boots. Parmesan is the leader of the litter and loves to go on walks around the kitty enclosure with her twin brother, Aioli. They make quite the pair, exploring every nook and cranny with boundless energy and curiosity. Together, they bring a delightful dynamic to their home, ensuring there`s never a dull moment.Parmesan also has a gentle side. In the evenings, after a day full of adventures, she enjoys cuddling up with her human companions. Her purrs are soft and soothing, a perfect end to a busy day. Adopting Parmesan means welcoming a bundle of joy, curiosity, and affection into your life. She`s not just a pet; she`s a friend, a companion, and a source of endless entertainment and love. If you`re ready for a lively and loving addition to your family, Parmesan is waiting to meet you with her bright blue eyes and a heart full of adventure. Parmesan has to be adopted with her brother Aioli. This is a Pay It Forward cat. Story
Hi everyone, my name is Aioli. I’m a Siamese mix kitty and the fluffiest kitty of the litter. I’m a super sweet and very laid back boy. I love laying on a heating pad, in my human’s lap or in my kitty cave. I enjoy playing, so my furrever family must like to play with me and I like to be held too! I have a fondness for chasing after feather toys and batting at my toys. My purr is like a gentle motorboat, and I’m always ready to greet my humans with a soft nuzzle and a happy cuddle session. I get along well with other pets, and I’m always eager to make new friends, whether they’re furry or human. My favorite time of day is when the sun streams through the windows, and I can bask in its warmth, dreaming of all the adventures yet to come.Aioli is a Pay It Forward cat. This means the adoption donation of $250 will help to save another kitty in need of rescue and vetting. Aioli has be to adopted with his sister Parmesan.Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Story
Her past is a Mystery. Mysty is very thankful to have started a new life of comfort. She is learning that being an indoor cat is where it`s at! She enjoys sitting by a window watching the birds fly by. Her chirpy purr will melt your heart as she lays her paw in your hand. She`s not much of a lap cat, but she will curl up next to you for pets and kisses. Her favorite sleeping spot is under a bed where she feels safe. When she`s in the mood, she loves to chase a laser light, bat around a ball, and hunt for her stuffed mousy. She may be a bit shy at first, but has warmed up to every adult she has met. After a few hisses she will welcome a calm dog or cat friend. She is an independent lady, who would do well as an only cat or in a home with some furry friends. *She might try to get outside, so her new home must have secure windows, screens and doors.Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:Be at least 21 years of ageHave the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the householdHave approval from owner of residence (written in lease)Have a valid ID with current addressBe approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home FoundationBe ready to make a lifetime commitmentLive in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.Adoption payment cash, check or Zelle onlyIf you are interested in Mysty, please complete an online adoption application at www.almosthomefoundation.org or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Meet the dynamic duo: Inky and Twinky. Inky is like a little panther and is a very active, curious & playful kitten. He is friendly & likes to wrestle with his sister Twinky and play with toys. When he is finished playing, he will snuggle next to you and ask to have his tummy rubbed. Twinky is a beautiful Seal Point Siamese who is more demure, but friendly. Once she has checked you out, she will lay down to have her tummy rubbed. Inky and Twinky have become bonded and they need to be adopted together as a ready-made pair. Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a compatible playful cat. Kittens really need a feline playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home, wrestle with each other instead of with your ankles, and grow up with an always-available companion. Bored cats can become destructive cats. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we may consider adopting out a single kitten. We usually prefer that they be 4 months or older. But each application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Many of our kitten litters may also be able to be mixed ‘n matched to make a pair if they are not particularly bonded with a sibling. Each foster home knows the kittens' personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements, bonded placements or mix/matching. Inky's and Twinky's estimated date of birth is 4/11/24. Inky's normal adoption fee is $195. Twinky's normal adoption fee is $295. Their combined adoption fee will be discounted $95, to be $395. Adoption fees include: vet exam, Feleuk/FIV tests, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccinations, routine dewormings, flea/tick control, microchip and spay/neuter.

Story
It’s Simon! The sweetest, shyest but bravest cat you’ll meet! Simon is a beautiful Siamese cat who will put on his bravery medal and take the risk to explore unknown corners of your house just so that he can find you for cuddles.  Simon is looking for a calm household that can understand his chill vibe and respect his need for a safe space to go where he can relax in comfort. He has spent time with children and other cats, though his favorite cat is his brother Marlo, who he's bonded to and who needs to be adopted with him. He hasn’t been exposed to dogs. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes more playful and will frolic around with a wand toy in between cuddle sessions with the nearest human. Coming from Kentucky, this young boy was lifted out of everything he knew and needs time to adjust to the cold Midwest. BUT, his most precious story is how one day, when his foster mom fell asleep in a different bedroom, he was sad and lonely and though he had rarely ventured out of her room, he braved the dark halls and strange noises to go look for her so he could get his cuddles in. And now, since his little excursion, he has become so much more courageous and comfortable coming out to explore the whole house! He does need to know that his original room is available for when the newness becomes too much. With the love from his foster family and the support of his brother Marlo, Simon as started to bloom.  If you bring Simon into your home, you will be repaid with a long-term companion who shares unconditional love. He will keep you warm on winter nights and keep you company on a warm summer afternoon. Simon is looking for his forever human family so he can snuggle up with you on the couch for years to come.
