Funny Face was being fed by a SARA volunteer when she noticed he was injured. He was taken the to vet for treatment, shots and neuter. Now he's looking for a home. 4 years old large quiet guy. Story

Smokey was found under my ex-spouse's porch when he was 6 weeks old. He is currently almost 3 years old. While he can be snuggly when he finds "his person" he is not good with other pets. He loves to be around my children and watch them, but not held unless he comes up to them. However, he gets nervous around a lot of children and strangers. I think part of it is that he is very protective of his people/family/home. When feeling nervous or overwhelmed he can try to scratch or sometimes bite. I am moving in with my girlfriend and blending our families together with more children and a dog so the environment is not ideal for Smokey. We have tried and he becomes very nervous and stressed. I'd love for him to go to the right home where he can find a new love and feel secure.

Meet Deloris — New Arrival! Deloris, a four-month-old female, just arrived at the adoption center and is still getting settled in, so we’re just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new—new people, new sounds, new routines—and we’re giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace. Since Deloris is a recent arrival, we don’t have much background information or many personality notes yet, but we’ll be updating their profile as we get to know them better. Every day reveals something new, and we’re excited to learn all the little quirks, preferences, and habits that make them unique. If you’re open to a little patience and a lot of possibility, come meet Deloris! You might be the person who helps them feel safe, confident, and right at home. Check back for updates—or stop by to say hello and discover who Deloris is becoming. We are located at 307 W Broadway and open 11am-7pm, 7 days a week (excluding major holidays) – no appointment necessary.

Story

Dow Jones is one hell of a cat. The lucky family that gets to adopt him will be met with an incredibly loyal, gentle, affectionate, and playful cat that just loves to be in your company. He sleeps at the foot of his fosters bed and gets SO excited when they get home and follows them from room to room. Besides his humans, his favorite thing in the entire world is his Ripple Rug. It's his comfort place and his play space. Dow Jones was found on the side of the road, injured and emaciated. With the help of his amazing vet team he fought his way back from the brink of death and had a new lease on life. Little did we know that would just be the beginning of DJ's story. Once he was decompressing in his foster home, it became apparent that he had a lower airway condition, resulting in him coughing and getting congested. After a few hospital stays, DJ was diagnosed with Feline Asthma. It is currently controlled by an inhaler that he takes like a perfect angel 2x a day, and occasionally some oral meds when needed. He knows his routine, and goes to his Ripple Rug when it's time for his inhaler. He takes all of this in his stride because it is so clear that he is so happy to be alive. He absolutely LOVES churu treats and does not care if they come with meds in them. He is currently in a foster home with another cat and we think he'd love a feline friend in his forever home too! Dow Jones is approximately 3-4yrs old, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV, and positive for FIV.
