Story
Chatty Cathy is a delightful dame of a decade in age, and should you find yourself bereft of a lap companion, then look no further. Chatty Cathy has many thoughts and opinions on the state of the world, the quality of her blankets, and her feelings on why you would even hesitate to come into her room to adore her! She sauntered her way into her finder’s home but sadly couldn’t stay there. She’s looking for an easy going, quiet home where she can hang out and have meaningful conversations with her family, and nap at will wherever she pleases. Her previous experiences with other animals remain a mystery for us, but we’d love to have a chat about helping everyone in the home to get settled in at a comfortable pace with you! Why not come by and get to know Chatty Cathy a bit better during our open hours of noon to 4:30pm Wed – Sundays (6:30pm Thursdays)? You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Meet Paloma beautiful female Siamese kitten born on 5/3/2026, whose gentle little heart is already shining through at just 3 months old. Paloma is a playful, curious kitten who loves to explore the world around her, but what she treasures most is the comfort and security of being with her bonded sibling, Kalani. Their connection is truly special — they find confidence, joy, and love in one another, and they must be adopted together so that bond can stay unbroken. Watching them side by side is a reminder of just how powerful love and companionship can be, and they are ready to share that same warmth with a forever family. Paloma & Kalani have not been around children, so we are looking for a home with children ages 8 and older. They have also not been around dogs, so we are seeking either a dog-free home or a home with an older, calm dog who has lived successfully with cats. Both kittens are spayed/neutered, have age-appropriate vaccinations, have been parasite treated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and are microchipped. The adoption fee for the pair is $300.00. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PLEASE READ: 1) I do home visits for all the cats/kittens for adoption. I am not currently able to adopt to anyone living more than 1 hour outside of Rochester, NY. 2) I require a vet reference and will contact them. 3) Most of the cats in my care come from the streets and have had a bad start in life. They usually would do best in a home with older children and NO dogs. 4) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms. 5) An approved application is necessary prior to a meet and greet,

Story
Ready to meet Dan? 😍 Dan is a siamese colored kitten that came into our care at only 2 weeks old. The baby was found crying alone in the rain, wet and cold 🥺 Despite his rough beginning, Dan is now a healthy, active, and rambunctious little boy! Dan is all about action - he'll zoom around and play to his heart's content 😄 Like many kittens his age, Dan is curious about anything and everything, and he thrives when given the opportunity to explore, climb, and chase toys around the house 🐾 Dan is a high energy boy that will require another young, active cat in the house to play with! He's more than happy to have multiple friends - dogs are welcome, and a kid or two to grow up with would be purr-fect 🐶💕 This guy will snuggle when his energy is expelled, and he's more than happy to be carried around too 🥰 Since Dan has a siamese coat, you can expect him to change colors as he grows - this is often referred to as watching the kittens "toast" 🍞 If interested in a pair of kittens, Dan can be combined with other male kittens in our care. Sushi has been an amazing pet for us. He had surgery a couple of years ago whee a bladder stone was removed. Since then, he has been sensitive to the smells of other cats and likes to be kept alone. When alone, he is friendly, clean, and calm. When foreign smells come in, he may pee on things if left on the floor, such as plastic bags or crocs. This has happened probably 9 times in the past three years He gets along with other cats and babies. He is litter trained. He stays indoors , but loves to sit on his window ledge.

Story
❤️ Special Home Needed for a Very Special Girl ❤️ Sometimes the cats who need us the most aren't the ones who immediately climb into our laps. We have a beautiful 4-year-old brown Siamese girl who came to us after being picked up by ACS with her kittens. Her babies are friendly, happy little kitties, but Momma is a different story. This beautiful girl is spicy, frightened, and unsure of people. She cannot be held right now, and the world can still be a pretty scary place for her. But we don't believe that means she doesn't deserve a loving home. We believe she simply needs someone who is willing to give her time, patience, and the chance to learn that she is safe. 🐾 Since coming into rescue, she has been spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations, so now we're hoping to find the special person who will take the next step with her. 🏡 We are looking for a patient, understanding adopter who doesn't expect an instant lap cat. Someone who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Someone who understands that sitting quietly in the same room, offering treats, playing with a wand toy, or simply giving her a safe place to observe the world can be a huge step forward. Maybe she will never be the type of cat who wants to be carried around. And that's okay. Maybe her way of saying "I love you" will be sitting beside you instead of on your lap. Maybe she'll eventually accept a gentle touch. Maybe she'll surprise us all. What she needs most is someone willing to give her the opportunity to find out. ❤️ We are asking our rescue community: 🐾 Is there someone out there who would be willing to give this beautiful girl a chance? We are willing to negotiate her adoption fee for the right person and the right application. This isn't about finding just anyone for her. It's about finding the person who understands that earning the trust of a frightened cat can be one of the most rewarding experiences there is. If you have experience with shy, fearful, or unsocialized cats—or simply have a quiet home and a very patient heart—we would love to hear from you. ❤️ She doesn't need someone to fix her. She needs someone willing to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Adoption fee for right application is negotiable.
