Oh Oscar… if only you could understand where you are and why you aren’t with your family anymore. This big was happy in a home for 9 years before his owner came onto medical issues and had to do what was best for both of them. He arrived in store in 3/10 and taking some time to settle and get comfortable. Come give him gentle pets and he may be your buddy.

Meet Jacob — New Arrival! Jacob, a one-year-old male, just arrived at the adoption center and is still getting settled in, so we’re just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new—new people, new sounds, new routines—and we’re giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace. Since Jacob is a recent arrival, we don’t have much background information or many personality notes yet, but we’ll be updating their profile as we get to know them better. Every day reveals something new, and we’re excited to learn all the little quirks, preferences, and habits that make them unique. If you’re open to a little patience and a lot of possibility, come meet Jacob! You might be the person who helps them feel safe, confident, and right at home. Check back for updates—or stop by to say hello and discover who Jacob is becoming. We are located at 307 W Broadway and open 11am-7pm, 7 days a week (excluding major holidays) – no appointment necessary.

Hi, I’m Pita ??I’m a 4-year-old Siamese who came to the shelter after my previous owner realized they didn’t have enough time to care for me the way I deserved.I’m a little on the nervous side right now, which is understandable with all the recent changes in my life. I may take some time to decompress and adjust when I first go to a new home, but with patience and kindness, I know I’ll start to feel safe and show my true personality.Siamese cats are known for forming strong bonds with their people, and I’m looking forward to finding someone who will give me the time and attention I need to feel comfortable again.If you’re willing to go slow and give a sweet girl the space she needs to settle in, I think we could make a wonderful pair ???Pita is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, tested for FIV and FeLV and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $650.00. Pita will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you`d like to meet her please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus.Pita can`t wait to meet you! If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Cutie Pie was surrendered to the shelter after being diagnosed with asthma. At just 3 years old, he now requires nebulizer treatments three times a day. With proper medication and close monitoring by a veterinarian, we’re hopeful his treatments can be reduced over time — but right now, he urgently needs consistent care to breathe comfortably. This sweet boy is shy at first due to the change in his life, but he is the sweetest boy! We think he will have great progress he just needs someone to help him along the ride     This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!   we are a foster based organization located on Long Island, NY. We do out of state adoptions within a reasonable distance.
