Story
BEAUTIFUL "TEENAGED" KITTEN WITH BLUE EYES NEEDS FOREVER HOME This gorgeous, blue-eyed boy, a Siamese and American shorthair mix, is just eight months old and a true gem of a kitty. Bullwinkle (fondly known as Boo Boo and Boo Boo Bear) was fostered by an employee of a local animal hospital after being found alone at just two weeks old--until he was eventually adopted by a loving family. During the time with his foster mom, he was exposed to a pet dog and also spent a lot of time at the vet clinic alongside his foster. Therefore, he is VERY comfortable and friendly with people of all ages. In fact, his owner says, “He has never met a stranger.” Sadly, the existing senior cat belonging to his adoptive family has not proven to be comfortable with or friendly to Bullwinkle in return, making for a stressful environment for the family’s older cat and for the little guy as well. For that reason only, Bullwinkle needs a new home. His adoptive family adores him but wants him to have the best possible living situation for the future. His new home should be with a person or family who is around a fair amount of time (he LOVES human attention), and it must include at least one appropriately aged, friendly, and playful kitty companion. A cat-friendly dog may work in addition. Bullwinkle is fully grown at eight months, neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. He ALWAYS uses his litter box and has, thus far, been very respectful of his environment and furniture (sitting on it but not scratching it). He is INDOOR ONLY and must remain that way. He must never be declawed. There has to be a person or family out there who can offer Bullwinkle the perfect (and final) forever home for which he is longing, someone who will open his or her heart and home to this loving and deserving sweetheart. Please email edenlake1@yahoo.com if you are that person or family, and I will be happy to put you in touch with his owner. Courtesy Post:CThorton

Story
Ursula was initially a stray cat that was then picked up and put through various foster homes, so she is used to being around other cats. She doesn't like to go outside and is the typical lazy cat, just wants food and occasional attention. She is incredibly sweet to people she is familiar with and goes crazy over wet food. She can become used to dogs if they are calm around her. Overall, a very sweet and easy going cat with little demands!

Meet Ryuk & Light – The Perfect Pair of Gentle Gents 💕 Every once in a while, two souls find each other and form a bond so genuine, it’s impossible to imagine them apart. That’s exactly the kind of friendship Ryuk and Light share. These two adult male cats are best friends through and through—always together, always in sync, and always ready to bring love and warmth into your home. Ryuk, a handsome Siamese mix with mesmerizing blue eyes, is the talkative charmer of the duo. He’s curious, confident, and loves engaging with people. Ryuk greets you with a soft meow, follows you from room to room, and has a way of making you feel like his favorite person. His affectionate nature and gentle personality make him the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys a cat who truly connects. Light, his equally special gray companion, is calm, sweet, and full of quiet affection. He adores gentle pets, cozy blankets, and spending time beside his best friend. Light’s presence is soothing—he’s the type of cat who brings peace and comfort to any space. While Ryuk may be the first to introduce himself, Light is always close behind, offering his own brand of soft-hearted charm. Together, Ryuk and Light make an incredible pair—balancing each other beautifully. They nap side by side, groom one another, and share every moment as if they’ve made a lifelong promise. Their friendship is heartwarming to witness, and they’re looking for a forever home that will keep them together—just as they belong. If you’re searching for not one, but two loving, loyal companions, Ryuk and Light are ready to fill your home with purrs, companionship, and the kind of love that only comes from a perfect pair. 🐾 Bonded pair – must be adopted together 🐾 Both are friendly, affectionate, and gentle with people 🐾 Double the love, double the joy, and double the purrs 👉 Interested in meeting Ryuk and Light? You can apply for adoption online or stop by the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society between 10 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, to meet this sweet bonded pair in person. They can’t wait to charm you!
