Story
Light and Rapid are a bonded Siamese pair who are still learning to trust people. They are not yet comfortable with handling and may react fearfully when approached. However, they rely on each other for security and show steady progress when given space and consistency. They will need a quiet, experienced home that understands fearful cats and can offer a slow, low-pressure environment. With patience and predictable routines, Light and Rapid have the potential to grow in confidence together. Primary Color: Seal Point Secondary Color: Seal Point Weight: 3.21 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Zephyr is a calm, quirky little cat with a gentle presence. Her weird personality will surely bring joy and laughter into your home. Zephyr enjoys company, but always on her own terms, as she has a strong sense of her own boundaries. She’ll seek out pets for a few minutes, happily lean in for brushing sessions, then trot off to do her own thing. She isn’t super big on cuddling, but she shows affection in her own unique ways —especially with her signature leg rubs as you walk by.She enjoys pets, brushing, and quiet companionship. She is very interested in human food, and she likes to observe people while they eat. She doesn`t seem to be too playful, preferring instead to be a chilled-out wallflower. Zephyr is a surprising TV enthusiast. Her favourite show is Project Runway, and she has even claimed her own chair at her foster home for watching it. She is a social eater and demands someone sit with her and pet her while she eats.Zephyr would do best in a calm, adult-only home with a family who is comfortable respecting her boundaries. She is good with some cats but does not like children and has not been tested with dogs. She is a sensitive girl who appreciates the company of someone nearby and the comfort of someone with her while she eats. Overall, she is a sweet, gentle presence with a couple of endearing quirks. If Zephyr sounds like she might fit into your family, please reach out to Team Cat Rescue today.

Story
Meet Gregory!About:This gorgeous boy has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter, however it is still very important that his potential adopters are willing to give him the time that he needs to adjust to his new life. Gregory is doing very well learning to trust humans again, though his circle of people who he is willing to sit next to and accept affection from is very small. He needs lots of quiet time with new faces to decide whether or not he accepts them as one of his two-legged companions, and so it may take a few visits with Gregory to get to the point where he is comfortable enough with you to allow pets and treats to be given without a kennel door in the way. Once you have Gregory`s trust, though, it is very rewarding! He enjoys playing with toys, exploring his environment, climbing cat trees to lounge around on and meeting his feline neighbours. He`s even made good friends out of some of the pickiest cats in the shelter! Other than that, Gregory LOVES treats. Especially wet food and licky tubes, which he will happily take from a trusted human`s hands. Recently, Gregory has been receiving lots of love from his circle of human friends and has learned that he enjoys head and ear scratches quite a lot, especially when given while he eats treats -- the best two things in his opinion!Ideal Home:Gregory is only a special case in regards to his trust -- once he knows his new family he is expected to do very well in a home. Still, it would be best for him to have a quieter home with no young children who he may become overwhelmed by. Other cats who he can play with would be an added bonus, since they help to bring him out of his shell in search of playmates!Gregory is a very handsome boy, and he knows it! If you are interested in getting to know Gregory, please send an email to info@hskl.ca expressing your interest, fill out an online application from our website, or stop by during our open hours. Gregory will be waiting!
