Story
These cats have a sad but somewhat hopeful tale to tell... Five little cats living in the city... For their lives so far, they were loved and well cared for. Byron, Keats and Shelley lived with their 2 senior friends Iris & Daisy and one human who cared for them. Recently, their human passed away and the cats are still very sad and lost without him. In an ideal world I would love to find a place for all three brothers to stay together, but I know how challenging that would be. They all sleep on top of one another...and sometimes Byron curls up with his senior sister Iris as well. At a minimum, Byron and Shelley must stay together. They are both big boys (and could stand to lose a little of their chonk) They are super quiet and very "deer in the headlights" at the moment - but it is early days and they have been through a lot of scary changes lately. Even though life is a bit unsettling lately, there hasn't been a hiss or a complaint from anyone. All 5 cats are incredibly sweet and it is very obvious that they were well loved. All three boys love to be "up cats". The top of the bookshelf or the cupboard is purrfect. Byron and Shelley both sit very still and like to watch you. Keats is now responding when you pet him and he is purring and pushing back on your hand. A quiet home with a human or two, would be just purrfect. A home for all 3 would be amazing - but if we are separating them, Byron and Shelley should stay together and if Keats is being adopted separately, it should be to a home with another gentle cat as he is a feline social butterfly. Story
These cats have a sad but somewhat hopeful tale to tell... Five little cats living in the city... For their lives so far, they were loved and well cared for. Iris and Daisy are senior ladies and also sisters. They lived with their three younger friends Byron, Keats and Shelley and one human who cared for all of them. Recently, their human passed away and the cats are still very sad and lost without him. A visit to the vet was done. Iris and Daisy had extensive blood work and physical examination... The good news? The ladies are very healthy for their age, and do not need any dental work, or medication. They are in the VERY early stages of kidney issues - but at 17 years young, that is definitely to be expected. They are aging with grace and dignity. The bad news? Iris is completely blind and Daisy has significant vision impairment. What does that mean for the sisters? It means that they love each other, rely on each other, sleep on top of each other and absolutely need to continue to live together. They are very sweet. Even though they have been through a lot of scary changes lately, there hasn't been a hiss or a complaint from anyone The girls are quiet and very well behaved. Iris keeps her paws on the floor, but Daisy has been seen to jump up onto a better perch so that she can get a good patch of sunlight to warm her fur. They get along very well with their brothers, but also get along very well with the other cats in their foster home. They need a quiet place together to live out their remaining time. Despite their age, their bloodwork was awesome and they could have quite a few of those 9 lives still to come. A quiet home with a human or two, would be just purrfect. . Story
If you`ve been dreaming of not one but TWO beautiful girls to fill your home with sweetness, look no further than Shortcake and Buttermilk! These gorgeous sisters are a bonded pair with two distinct personalities: one gentle and quietly affectionate, and another full of playful mischief and adventure. Together, they create the perfect balance of tender moments and entertaining antics.Shortcake is the sweet, feminine soul of the duo who has mastered the art of quiet devotion. This gentle girl has the most endearing bedtime routine: she`ll follow you to bed each night, ready to snuggle under the duvet while you read or relax. Though she`s not a lap cat, she`s open to hugs, pets, and being held (at least for a little while!). Shortcake is patient, loving, and content to simply share your space, offering her peaceful presence as companionship. She`s also been known to enjoy her meals a little too much, occasionally sneaking bites from her sister`s bowl!Meanwhile, Buttermilk is the feisty, adventurous spirit who keeps things lively! This athletic girl is full of energy and loves initiating play sessions with her sister, complete with chasing, pawing, and the occasional playful hiss. She`s a bit more independent than Shortcake but has been coming around more and more, seeking out her humans on her own terms. While she`s less enthusiastic about being held, she appreciates affection when the mood strikes. Buttermilk`s mischievous personality and dominant energy make her the perfect complement to her gentle sister. You’ll find endless entertainment watching them play together and groom each other.Shortcake and Buttermilk have food sensitivities and require a special diet along with daily prednisone to keep them comfortable and healthy. These are simple accommodations that make all the difference for these sweet sisters. Shortcake and Buttermilk would thrive in a calm home where they can continue their sisterly bond, enjoy their playful routines, and receive lots of gentle affection. They have not been tested with children or dogs but do well with other cats. If you think these two beautiful girls could be the perfect addition to your family, contact Team Cat Rescue today! These sisters can`t wait to find their fur-ever home together.
