Story
Phoenix is a mellow guy who despite having had a tough go in life is still loving of people. Phoenix was found in Manchester having been shot in the rear right leg. Luckily his foster mom lovingly rehabbed him so his leg bones fused and he is able to use his leg and get around well. He still has lead in his leg but that doesn’t affect him or slow him down. Because he wasn’t neutered until he was found and he was well in adulthood he probably fought with other tomcats and unfortunately acquired FIV. He is currently healthy and no signs of immune issues and many cats can live a long life with proper nutrition and staying inside. Because he is FIV positive if he is to live with another cat that cat should be a female and it will be necessary to slowly introduce him. FIV is passed through a serious bite , the bite is deep enough to draw blood typically to the bone. Usually a male will get a long better with another female and less likely to fight. I am a certified behaviorist so should be able help get Phoenix adjusted to his new home with a cat or not. He gets along with dogs well. He enjoys being walked on a harness and leash and is content to hang out with his foster mom for hours. He deserves a wonderful home with love and kindness since he didn’t get any of that until he was rescued. Please reach to Kim via phone at 931-337-4199 . I rarely check email so Please text or call me . He’s ready for his forever person. :)

Story
Oscar is around 8 years old, we have had him since he was 12 weeks old. We got him from a Siamese rescue, that had an event in a Petsmart store in North Carolina. He is not in anyway aggressive, he has never bitten/attacked anyone, not even a scratch to my knowledge. He is however an extremely nervous and skittish cat. We have a large family where there is always something going on. We’ve moved twice since getting him and around 2 years ago, we moved to a new house and my elderly mom moved in to live with us. He has really become her cat and stays mostly in her room and away from everyone else, except when it’s time for his food. But he has started to pee outside of his litter box periodically now, something he randomly seems to do when there are periods of change in the home. We really feel that he just needs a new home that is much more calm and quieter than ours, with less people. Ideally an older person/couple on their own, or perhaps somebody with no young kids in the house.

Story
Currently located in: Winterport, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: No, she is not fond of canine friends.... Good with cats: Toast would prefer to be the only kitty, but yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, she does fine with kids but because of anxiety we would recommend a calmer household! Litter box trained: She's working really hard on training, does well in small spaces but has some accidents when open to full house as she has some anxiety! Meet Toast! Toast was found abandoned and left to fend for herself. We quickly took her in and worked on finding her a home. Toast was adopted, but has since been surrendered as the home is not the right fit for her. Toast has anxiety and needs a more calm and quiet environment to thrive vs the busy home she is in now. Toast does well with other kitties that are mild in behavior. She 100% poops in the litter box but sometimes has pee accidents if overwhelmed. She does very well when she is in a smaller space with all of her things and does not have potty accidents in those settings. Toast is affectionate and sweet! She enjoys being pet, playing and eating all the snacks! Lounging in the sun is a great past time and she is just a great cat overall! If you think you are the right home for her, please apply to adopt them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $325. We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! For more photos, or information on upcoming adoption events where you can meet them, please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/whiskersfund Thank you for helping to save lives!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Let us introduce you to another group of cats that started out with a female and ended up with 25 cats on the property. We took in 19 and the ones left, to be inside now, have all been spayed & neutered thanks to The Joy Clinic and Smith County Humane. This group of 5 were named in a "western movie" theme. They are a bit reserved as they had to share their human interaction, however warm up quickly and crave attention. They are all litter box trained, spayed/neutered, are microchipped, have age-appropriate vaccines, and are on flea prevention. If you are looking to add a member to your family, one of these fabulous felines just might be the purrfect fit. Adoption fee is $50 each. **Adoption Center Policy: All cats must be INDOOR ONLY and shall NOT be declawed.**
