Story
Currently located in: Winterport, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: No, she is not fond of canine friends.... Good with cats: Toast would prefer to be the only kitty, but yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, she does fine with kids but because of anxiety we would recommend a calmer household! Litter box trained: She's working really hard on training, does well in small spaces but has some accidents when open to full house as she has some anxiety! Meet Toast! Toast was found abandoned and left to fend for herself. We quickly took her in and worked on finding her a home. Toast was adopted, but has since been surrendered as the home is not the right fit for her. Toast has anxiety and needs a more calm and quiet environment to thrive vs the busy home she is in now. Toast does well with other kitties that are mild in behavior. She 100% poops in the litter box but sometimes has pee accidents if overwhelmed. She does very well when she is in a smaller space with all of her things and does not have potty accidents in those settings. Toast is affectionate and sweet! She enjoys being pet, playing and eating all the snacks! Lounging in the sun is a great past time and she is just a great cat overall! If you think you are the right home for her, please apply to adopt them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $325. We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! For more photos, or information on upcoming adoption events where you can meet them, please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/whiskersfund Thank you for helping to save lives!

Story
Meet Butter Cup…a 3-4 year old Flame Point Siamese with a left ear tip. She was found in a cat colony that NGAA was assisting with spay/neuter. Butter Cup was trapped and taken in for her spay surgery. When she was picked up, the vet recommended that Butter Cup have Entropion surgery. I wondered why Butter squinted all the time and had runny eyes, now I knew why! Her eyelids had turned under and her eyelashes were rubbing against her eyes—imagine sand in your eyes 24 hours a day everyday…Butter had to have the surgery! NGAA rescued her and as you can see, Butter Cup’s surgery was a success—she has beautiful blue eyes!Butter Cup is an affectionate little girl and who is looking for a family to love.

Story
Meet Jett, a striking feline whose life took a tragic turn when the only home he ever knew was shattered by loss. With a sleek black coat that matches the depths of his sorrowful eyes, Jett found himself surrendered to the shelter's doorstep after his beloved owner passed away, discarded like yesterday's newspaper by the family who couldn't bear the reminder of their loss.Once the king of his domain, Jett now roams the cold confines of the shelter, his once-proud demeanor overshadowed by the weight of abandonment and despair. Each day feels like an eternity as he waits for a familiar face that will never come, his heartache echoing through the empty halls like a mournful melody. As the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, Jett watches as the other cats come and go, their hopeful eyes finding new homes while his own remain clouded with tears. He longs for someone who will see past his sorrow and offer him the love and understanding he so desperately craves, but with each passing day, his hope dims a little more, replaced by a sense of resignation to his fate. But despite the darkness that threatens to consume him, Jett's resilient spirit refuses to be extinguished. He dreams of a forever home where he can once again feel the warmth of a loving embrace and the gentle touch of a caring hand. He yearns for a family who will cherish him as he deserves, offering him the love and security he so desperately needs. If you have room in your heart for a soul in need of solace, please consider giving Jett the chance he so desperately deserves. Together, we can help heal his wounded heart and rewrite his story from one of sorrow and abandonment to one of love and redemption. Come meet Jett today and be the hero he's been waiting forAs always, introductions to existing family members should be done slowly and over time.
